Moxie Fab World - Dont throw it away!

When I saw this challenge, I new immediately that I would have to use this empty box I found in my daughters bathroom (she tells me I am extremely embarrassing!!!!).

This is what I used to make my card:-

And here is the finished card for Moxie Fab World:-

The black and white card is Bella! from spotlight and the gems and flower are Kaisecraft, the rest is from the left over box. I hope you like it. I think the sentiment inside should read 'You inspire me!'

Runway Inspired Challenge

I made this card for the  runway inspired challenge RIC#8 Its all made from random paper card. I hand sketched the dress, then cut it out, embossed it with the rose cuttlebug folder, then covered it with versa mark and clear embossed it. I added the flowers, pearls, gems and lace then mounted the dress with dimensional tape. I used a piece of black sequin trim for a belt. Then I stamped the sentiment on a small piece of white card and mounted it with pearls for a finishing touch. It's certainly bright isn't it!

I'm also entering this in CAS-ual Friday challenge - bold and beautiful - black with pastels.
I hope there is enough whit space and the colours aren't too bright!

A Triple Challenge!

I used the colours from the Color Throwdown CTD183 challenge, the layout from the Mojo Monday (turned at 90%), the image is from the City Crafter Challenge (provided by the Graphic Fairy). The paper is from My Minds Eye. I used Dusty Concord and faded jeans distress ink for the flowers and background strip. I found the picket fence in a local craft shop.

Another City Crafter Challenge

When I saw this image of the bird I knew at once I had to do something with the birdcage I got at a Xmas sale (it had a really tacky picture in it).  I machine stitched around the image and distressed the edges with antique linen. I printed the image out twice and cut out the bird, then  dry embossed it, paper tole style and stuck it on with mounted tape. I used a leaf vine trim and inked white roses with marigold distress ink. The bird bath is a Prima element (I've been hanging to this one.) Then I finished it off with lace around the base and ribbon and rose on top.  The image is from the graphic fairy

I used a cuttlebug folder to give texture to the white background and the sentiment is typed on my computer.

Forever in our hearts

made this card for the City Crafter Challenge, to make something about whatever is in your heart at the moment. We have recently got 2 new puppies and I was going to make the card about them, but then I decided to make it about our Westies, who both passed away last year. I love our 2 pups, but I miss Kayleigh and Mackie every day. I'm sure time will soften the feelings of loss, they were wonderful companions.

The image is a digital freebie from SJs-  Little Musings blog, The paper is Basic Grey and the I die cut the frame. There is a heart charm hanging from the bow. The photo is take at night so the light isn't great.

Kayleigh and Mackie
RIP my babies.

Spring is nowhere near here!

I made this card for the Shabby Tea Room week  #105 'Spring is Near'

The challenge is to use at least 3 of the above colours
and dry emboss.

The paper and die cuts  are  really old stash from Crate Paper. I used a cuttlebug folder to dry emboss and also criss-cross scored the cloud (hard to see in photo)
I used some glitter on the rainbow and machine stitched the aqua card.

Runway Inspired no.2

And here is my second attempt for the Runway Inspired challenge ric #7. Actually, I started this one first, then changed my mind, but thought I'd give it a second attempt. I'm quite happy with this result. The owl is obviously not original, but I tried to make it look like a pendant,(different shape to the one the girl is wearing, but that's where I go the idea)

The eyes are better in real life (tho much reflection in photo), there is a pink gem on the rhinestone, then a dot of black enamel.

Runway Inspired no.1

I have recently discovered the Runway Inspired challenge #7 blog and I love all the gorgeous images, so I decided to give it a go. I loved this weeks challenge so much and I had lots of ideas. So I've made 2 cards. This one I'm not so happy with the end result.

The paper is from Graphic 45 - I thought the colours and theme suited. The stamps in background are from Hero Arts. I sewed 2 ribbons together and then ruffled them and sewed on the rhinestone trim.

Autumn - my favourite season

I made this card for the 'Less is More' challenge, which is a one layer card with script. I hope this fits the criteria. I used some very old rub-ons from my stash and a Kaisercraft stamp on pearled card stock.
I kept saving these rub-ons intending to make a scrapbook page, but never got round to it.

It's another beautiful sunny day here in Melbourne, It's hard to believe there are many people north of us, surrounded by water and others still waiting with the fear of flooding. I am thinking of them and praying for the rain to stay away.

CR84FN  Colour challenge #50

It's a lovely sunny day today, so I thought I'd make a sunny card for the CR84FN challenge - yellow, pink, orange.  It's Autumn in Australia, but this card reminds me more of Spring.
I used Stampin up whisper white card and embossed using Cuttlebug folder. The paper is Echo Park, Victoria's Garden. I used Heidi Swap glimmer mist on the flowers and $2 shop ribbon, lace and stickers.

Playdate Cafe challenge PDCC122

I saw an advertisement billboard on the way to school pick up a couple of days ago, using these colours  and thought the colour combo would look great on a card. When I saw the colours for the playdate cafe challenge it was serendipity and I just had to play along.

The grey paper and gems are from Kaisercraft,  the yellow paper is My mind's eye, the word sticker is from Merci and I used some random ribbon and flowers . I used some TH distress inks on paper and flower and nest abilities for the die cuts.

I've returned!

Well, I seem to have abandoned my blog and hope to make a new one soon. It's been a bad start to 2012 with both my parents taking it in turns to go to Hospital - Dad's there at the moment and will possibly come out next week, just as Mum goes back in for tests.
Anyway, I decided to make her a birthday card and enter it in the Simon Says Stamp Challenge - for Mother's Day/Special Girl
