I got this beautiful fabric from The Stitches and Craft Fair last year and have been wondering what to do with it. This sketch gave me the perfect opportunity! Click here to see other cards in the challenge. |

Less is More week 65 - Sketch
Mojo Monday #238
I am currently working on another card for this challenge, but it's a bit like a jigsaw puzzle!Anyhow, I've had this paper in my stash for years and it's perfect for this sketch. Winnie the Pooh was my favourite Disney story when I was a child and I still love the original drawings the best. I feel a bit sad now when I look at the stories and see that Pooh and his friend kept saying he was "a bear of very little brain" - not really a good message to send to kids! Oh well, I still love it!

Missed it by that much!
I made this card for the Cas-ual Friday challenge, but just missed the deadline!
Nevermind, I can still enter it in the Less is more challenge, which is to include a charm in our card.
I inked the chipboard scallop frame and then clear embossed it. Well nothing else needs to be explained - this is a very CAS card as per the CAS-Friday sketch

Moxie Fab - Tuesday Trigger
When I first say this photo, I started by stamping some watercolour butterflies, but then I saw the lacing on the dress and it took me in a completely different direction! I know the paper I used is not anything like the dress, but once I started with the lacing on the parchment paper, I decided to use some of this gorgeous Japanese paper, which I usually just look at!
The photo is not very clear, because it's been pouring all morning and there is no natural light.
So I'll have to try again later. To see other cards in the challenge, click here

Playdate Cafe - super bright!

This stamp always reminds me of Audrey, so I thought it appropriate to use it,
because when I think Audrey, I think pink and black! Also, the lips in the inspiration photo made me think of this stamp.
The image stamp is from Art Stamps America, the sentiment is Hero Arts and
the paper is Christina Re. I used a Hero arts chevron die to make the arrows and nest abilities
for the circle and scalloped circle. The gems are from Kaisercraft.

City Crafter - Just a hint of Pink
I love any colour combo of Black and white with a splash of colour, especially when the splash is pink!
The birdcage image is a rub-on from Kaisercraft and the sentiment is from Papertrey Ink. When I saw this weeks theme, I thought immediately of the pink feathers in my stash, so I decided the birdcage, bird and feather would all compliment each other. I will also enter this in the Passion for Papertrey Ink challenge -wonderful wildlife. It only just fits with the tiny bird and Papertrey sentiment. |
EAD Designs Colour Challenge #23
I made this card for the EAD Colour challenge. The papers are from the Bella! Paper Doll range. The rose is from Kaisercraft and coloured with topic marker. |

Runway Inspired Ric#10
I really do enjoy these challenges! I have never even bothered to look at runway photos before and it is amazing how much they can inspire you! I have also learnt about trends and how to combine colours with just the right right balance. Well hopefully I am learning...
Anyway, I love the new chevron trend, but sadly don't have a chevron stamp. I thought about making my own using ribbon or paper etc, but it seems to have been done, then I found this gorgeous designer paper from Bella and Christina Re, found the orange trim in my stash and voila!

I had trouble photographing this because it's the wrong time of day(too many shadows), but hopefully you can see the detail. |

Mojo Monday 237
Ok, so there's a story about this card. I came home the other day and found this paper chewed to pieces and scattered all over the room. The paper is stored in drawers and this particular paper was in a plastic bag, which must have been sticking out a bit - just far enough for 2 naughty little dogs to pull it out and have some fun!!! It could have been worse I guess. So I used the scraps that were still ok when cut out.
The rest might be ok in a very shabby, distressed project!

I thought these little guys would suit the sketch for the Mojo monday challenge. I'm sorry, I can't remember the brand of paper. |

New Blog Design & Name
I had a bit of a play around with blog designs today. I'm not completely happy, but it's a fresh clean look.
I had problems with the header, so I'll just leave it for now. Time can pass way too quickly when you start to surf the net, but I learnt a couple of things and had some fun! I also changed the name, because I hated the old one, which I just put in as a temporary title when I started the blog to enter a card challenge.

Mojo Monday
I bought a Almanac paper pad by Prima Marketing and decided that I should use it, rather than just look at it!!! So I decided to make a card for the Mojo Monday sketch #236

Playdate Cafe - Primary Colours
Have a look at the gorgeous images for this week's Playdate Cafe colour challenge. They are such vibrant happy colours. I made 2 cards for this challenge, because I wasn't 100% happy with the first card - it was a bit too busy, but I couldn't quite work out how to solve the problem. |
I think the text paper is from October Afternoon. The flower dies are dynamics. I know I probably needed less text, but I loved the words on the paper. I will also enter this in the Crazy 4 Challenges c4c132 challenge to use buttons. |
I was very excited on friday to receive my 1st ever delivery of Papertrey Ink goodies - so for my 2nd card I just had to use the gorgeous bloom builder no.3 die and the 2012 Birthday tag sentiment and co-ordination die. I just love these products! I also added a blue rose for balance. The wooden leaves are from Kaisercraft and have been inked and embossed. I made the other leaf from random scrap paper. The brads are also from Kaisercraft. I will also enter this card in the A Passion for Papertrey - knock on wood challenge. |

City Crafter 2nd Birthday
Happy Birthday City Crafter Challenge Blog!!!!! (week 104)
This week, they want us to go through challenge #1 to #103, pick a project created by our current DT and case it!
OMG! I've only recently started doing challenges and found this wonderful challenge blog, so when I started going thorough the archives it blew me away with all the wonderful creations and ideas!!! I could (and have) spend hours looking through them and blog hopping - thank you so much for your wonderful inspiration.
Well, it was very hard to choose one idea to case (so I probably won't stop at one) but I have chosen Week 74 - I "Heart" You - the card is by Kirsty you can see it here
Here is my take on the card:-
I took inspiration from the cup and cupcake - i included a couple of tiny hearts, since the original challenge was to include a heart on the card. I have used a La Blanche stamp for the teacup - I stamped in black on to patterned papers are from Bella! and Prima. I can't remember who the sentiment stamps are from. The chipboard cupcake, from scrap ware, is inked and then i added dimensional magic and glitter. I will also enter this card in the Shabby Tearoom "Birthday Bash" challenge 109 - their challenge is to do a birthday project and include a cupcake. |

Less is More - 3 shades of green
Looking at this in the photo the green ribbons all look fairly similar - in real life they aren different. I stampeed some card and rolled it to make the first flower - i added the stamens with dimensional magic. I inked the edges of the roses and the 3rd flower needs no explaining. The sentiment is from My favourite things. You can see the Less is More challenge here |

City Crafter - male card
This is the 'he' card for the Hats off to you challenge |
I will also enter this card in the Make my Monday challenge - male vintage cards.
The City Crafter - Hats off to you!
I decided to make his and her card for this challenge using my stash of gorgeous Graphic 45 vintage paper. You can find the City Crafter challenge here.
The hard part was actually cutting this beautiful paper and choosing which paper to use. I often hang on to paper because I can't bring myself to cut it up!
I also used some Basic Grey paper. The diamond background is made using hat netting, the flower is from Kaisercraft. I chose not to put a sentiment as the card was already quite busy.
I am also entering this in the Simon Says Stamp challenge - favourite tools. I love my cuttlebug - there are so many affordable dies around now and I especially love the new stamp sets that co-ordinate with dies!

Another Runway Inspired card
While I was away I malso made another card for the Runway Inspired challenge .
I turned the image 90 degrees anti -clockwise.
I turned the image 90 degrees anti -clockwise.
I stamped the Kaisercraft image on the card and coloured with distress inks. I dyed some lace and card for the trim and added some gems and metal flowers. I added the silver corner because I felt the card needed a bit of balance.
The Playdate Cafe
I made this card while I was at our beach house with limited supplies, for the Playdate Cafe PDCC126
I have used Kaisercraft paper a charm from an old birthday card and random ribbon and button. The sentiment (which is blurry in the photo) is a sticker, mounted and edged with ink. |

Another Runway Inspired
I made this card for the Runway Inspire challenge Ric#9. I was inspired by the white on white, green colour block, and the print, which also had butterflies and flowers on it. The Card and gems are Kaisercraft, the paper is Basic Grey 'sweet threads'. I hand embossed the green paper and used a folder for the panel of white card. The butterfly is made using sizzix 'build a butterfly. I decorated butterfly with kindy glitz and jewellery wire for antennae. |

The Play Date Cafe PDCC125
I love this photo for the Play Date Cafe PDCC125 challenge.
Here is my card - I think I will be doing another one, because it ended up very different from what I had 1st planned.

Tim Holtz *12 tags of 2012 * April
I finally got around to making a tag for the Tim Holtz 12 tags of 2012:-
This is Tim's tag:-
And here is mine:-
I used collections chipboard, manila tag, 7 gypsy hinges, random ribbon, and elements.
I stamped a Kaisercraft old writing stamp on embossing folder, embossed, then used distress inks to colour the tag. the chipboard has been inked with distress inks and then clear embossed.
I guess it's not too bad for a 1st attempt. I had fun doing it and getting my fingers dirty!
I will also enter this in the Simon Says Stamp - Anything goes challenge
