Love is all You Need!

Well hello there! Can you believe it's already the second month of 2015! It's true that times goes faster as you get older!

Today is the beginning of a new challenge at the Mixed Media Card Challenge and being February, I'm sure you can guess the theme! Yep, it's all about LOVE! The optional element is *buttons*.

I started with white card and sponged various shades of Memento die ink in pink and purple.
Next I sponged and stamped circles of various sizes, using Memento Luxe white ink  to create a bokeh type effect.
Once dry, I cut a heart shape to use as a mask and sponged around the edge of the heart with seedless preserve and black soot distress ink. then I used Winnie & Walter Big Bang confetti with Hero arts Black ink to get the black spots.
Then I sprayed Heidi Swapp Color shine white over the panel for a bit of shimmer.
I was going for a grunge look - I hope I succeeded!
Next I had to include a button .. hmmm. ..black, white or pink, didn't work and then I found the crystal button in my stash. Yes,  I  think I like it!!

Now don't forget to head over to the Mixed Media Card challenge to see the fabulous inspiration from our design team. You have until 25 Feb to join in the fun.

  1. OK, I agree time goes faster the older you get, but methinks your problem is you missed two months of the past twelve globetrotting!!! This is so cool. And looks so perfect for the new AAA challenge too.
