Winter Birthday with Altenew

Here's a quick card I made for the current Altenew Challenge.

It is a bit of a challenge for me, because these are my old school colours and the the colours of my family's football team and I REALLY hated wearing brown and yellow and then having to dress my little boy in those colours when he was young! However, it's a lovely picture and I have given it a shot!

I've used Altenew's Beautiful Day set and Label Love. The inks are Staze on and Altenew and it touch of Zig markers.
I've made the leaves  a loose watercolour look, but the flower was stamped with the lightest yellow.

  2. Oh Jenny this is gorgeous - I would call your colours coffee and cream - does that make it more acceptable??

  3. Oh my goodness! I thought I was the only person in the universe who had those lovely school colors of brown and yellow! I wonder if we went to the same school? But let me reassure you that you have turned brown and yellow into something totally elegant here! I love how this turned out and I think the non-traditional color palette is a refreshing change from the norm. This is sophisticated and cheery and I'm so glad you shared your talents with us for this week's Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge!
