This card made itself!

I was having a bit of a look around challenges and saw that Winnie & Walter had a colour challenge and I immediately new what I would do! It's been a long time since I could create for a challenge without overthinking the process:)  So here is my card...

I have used the following stamp sets - So Tweet with Evelin T Designs and  Wishing You with Evelin T Designs.

Black, Silver & White

Hello there! TGIF (Aussie time)!

Today I have a simple, yet I think elegant card to share...

I stamped the Hero Arts Floral Background and silver embossed on black paper.  Next I stamped the W&W Sentiment in black and clear embossed on white card. To finish, I mounted it on a white card and added a few silver flower sequins.

Happy 5 Year Anniversary CASology

Casology are celebrating 5 years of clean and simple inspiration!  They have a fabulous blog hop lots of prizes to give away too, so pop on over to check out the fun!

I actually made this card at a craft retreat, but never got around to sharing it, so this is the perfect opportunity! The only thing is, I cannot remember the brand of stamps. I thought it was Unity, but can't find it in their shop. I used Zig CCRB Markers to colour the image.

Brighter Days

Here's another card for the Creativity Meets C9 Challenge.

I've decided that the best way to beat the lack of Mojo is to relax! So instead of trying to think up edgy designs, I'm just chilling and enjoying colouring and playing with all my lovely supplies.

I stamped the image and sentiment with black ink and clear embossed. Then I coloured with Distress Inks, Derwent Inktense Pencils, Gansai Tambi and Zig CCRB Markers. I was trying to use more autumn tone colours, because I wanted to get away from Pink and Red.  The floral image is of course from Concord  & 9th Hello Lovely and the sentiment is from their Shine Brighter set. This image is all over the internet, which makes it hard to be original, but it is so lovely and always looks fab!
I used the sketch from Fusion Challenge.

This was fun!

Hi again. I have  another card to share and this one was lots of fun, because I used my brand new Distress Oxides and the beautiful Memory Box Fantasy Butterfly Frame die.

I smooshed 3 different colours of the Distress Oxide inks on my craft mat, gave it a spritz and then some more smooshing with the watercolour paper on the mat, using a wet brush to help get the desired effect.
Then I stamped the Concord & 9th sentiment with black ink and clear embossed. I then layered the frame, watercolour panel and base card. A bit of bling to finish and Voila!

I didn't get on board the Distress Oxide band-wagon until the 2nd release, but I love the new colours, so I will be experimenting with layered stamping soon!

A Rainbow of Butterflies

More play with watercolours and good Arches paper today. Whilst I still had the Penny Black butterflies on my desk I decided to use the smallest butterfly and this is the result.

I used various watercolours, included Daniel Smith and Gansai Tambai and was practising the glazing technique. I need lots of practise!!! Anyway it ended up a bright a cheery card. I added a very light grey watercolour to outline the butterflies. I had a HUGE mishap with the white paint pen I was using, with a big blotch, so I had to add blotches on all the butterflies lol!
Oh, the sentiment is from CASual Friday stamps.

Peony Bouquet

Hey there.  We've been having an amazingly sunny winter so far and I wouldn't be surprised if the flowers start to bloom a bit early this year. Thinking of flowers, made me have a play with some Altenew floral stamps and this is one of the results...
I've used Altenew inks to colour these images - stamping and then softening with watered down ink.  I'm feeling very rusty with my watercolouring, so I'm trying to get lots of practice, although most of it is ending up in the bin (trash)!
The stamp sets are Altenew Peony Bouquet and Painted Greetings.

Dream then Do

In search of inspiration, I came across the CASual Friday challenge, which is a Tic-Tac-Toe and I immediately knew what I would do! Yes, a spark of Mojo!

I painted the watercolour stripes with distress inks and then stamped CASual Friday sentiment and image.
The butterfly die is from Penny Black. Luckily I had some sequins to match.

More Blue & White Monochrome

Hey there! I decided to make another Blue and White card, because I love the colour so much. I'm still really struggling with my motivation and have really lost my confidence. But slowly, slowly...

The Butterfly and sentiment are from Inspired by Stamping and the bloom is a very old one from Kaisercraft. I used Zig CCRB Markers and Brushos to colour the images.

Beautiful Butterfly

Hello there. I managed to get in a bit of crafting time yesterday and broke out a gorgeous Penny Black stamp. I am in love with blue and white decor and when I saw the themes at HLS Watercolour Challenge and CAS Watercolour, I decided to combine them and make this card.

The image stamp is from Penny Black Butterfly Trio and the sentiment is from stamplorations. I used various blue distress inks and you may not be able to tell, but I embossed the butterfly for a bit of texture and gloss.
