A Penguin, a Polar Bear, a Fox, Snowflakes and some Typography Tags

Yes! Lots of tags tagain today as the 25  Day's of Christmas Tags Event drawers to a close. Thanks to Tracey, her DT and all the  sponsors and their designers for all the wonderful inspiration:)

This one was inspired by Carol's Penguin tag from Day 26 for Hello Bluebird.
I used MFT dies to make the letters and coloured with Copic Markers.
The penguin is from Uniquely Creative 'Penguin Pals'.

I loved Carol's Polar Bear tag from Day 16 for Waffle Flower and it reminded me of  Polar Bear stamp from Papertrey Ink 'Warm Wishes'. The pp is from Kaisercraft and the die from MFT.

I was inspired by Anja's pretty tags from Day 7 for Sunny Studios.
The fox is from Papertrey Ink 'Warmest Wishes', the sentiment from Kaisercraft and the tree die from Memory Box.

This one was inspired by Emily's beautiful layered snowflake tag from Day 25 for Honey Bee Stamps. I went artsy with my tag. The snowflakes were coloured with Nuvo Shimmer Powder and I splattered some on the tag. The sentiment and edges of tag were heat embossed with silver powder.

Finally, I took my inspiration from Tracey's tags from Day 25 for Honey Bee Stamps. My stamps are from Stampers Annonymous.

I hope you enjoyed seeing all my tags.

Bird Christmas Tags

I'm back with more tags for the 25 Days of Christmas Tags event. I  love Donna's tag from Day 22 for Birch Press Design and was inspired to make 2 tags.

I didn't  have a bird die similar to the Birch Press die, so I stamped a bird  (Inspired by Stamping) and coloured with Copics and Distress Inks.  I made a wash with Nuvo Glimmer Paste and DI Weathered wood and brushed it over the tag. The edges of the tag are brushed with the same ink and then I splattered the ink over the tag.  I stamped the pine boughs and berries with Zig Markers. Next I adhered the bird and then passed the tag through the Big Shot to trim the tail feathers.
The sentiment is from Kaisercraft, the foliage stamps from Penny Black and the beautiful tag die from Papertrey Ink.

This is the tag that inspired me.

Here is another bird tag i made with a warm colour scheme...

This time I used patterned paper from Kaisercraft for the tag and WPlus9  'A New Day' and watercoloured the image with Zig Markers.  The sentiment is from Penny Black ' Banner Sentiment' and the tag die is from MFT.

CAS Christmas Cards

I decided to challenge myself to make some CAS Christmas cards, combining a couple of challenges and using some new (to me) stamps.

I used the triangle sketch from Less is More and sponged some ink and then stamped the foliage from Penny Black 'Nature's Best'. The berries stamp is from a magazine and the sentiment from PB 'Banner Sentiments'. I used Distress Inks for the sponging and stamped with Zig Markers.  I also swiped a bit of gold ink on the top edge and added sequins to tie in with the sentiment.

I'm entering this in the following challenges:-

Mixed Media Birthday

I stencilled some Minc Reactive paint over the sponged background and brushed the paint over the die-cut . When dry,  I added foil with the Minc Machine.  To finish I stamped the sentiment and added a twine bow, mounting the panel on a black base card.

Time for more Tags

I've been away for a few days, so I've been behind in posting tags for Tracey's 25 days of Christmas Tags event.  Here are a few  lots more...

This tag is inspired by 2 tags - Sharna Day 17 (ornament shape) & Joyce Day 18  (sponging)

The ornament die is an oldie from Spellbinders and the stamps are from Avery Elle. I used Liquid Pearls for the berries

I watercoloured the pB Polar Bears and fussy cut. The mistletoe stamp is another magazine freebie and the sentiment is from PB Banner Sentiments. The pp is from American Crafts.

I used a Mama Elephant tag die and spread Nuvo Glacier Paste over the tag. I stamped and fussy cut thje holly and berries from Papertrey Ink. The berry branch was cut from a Sizzix Tim Holtz die and the sentiment is from Kaisecraft

My tag is from Papertrey Ink, sprayed with Color Shine, first with mint green and then white.
The Poinsettia is a magazine freebie and the sentiment is from Woodware.

I stamped the dog and ornament  from MFT Happy Pawlidays and coloured with Copic Markers.
Embossing folder from Stampin Up, Sentiment tag from Kaisercraft and old patterned paper.

The tag die is from WPlus9, the poinsettia stamp from Woodware and the sentiment from Kaisercraft. I sponged the tag with Distress Oxide Ink and spritzed, The image and sentiment were stamped with Delicata Gold ink.

Flower and Spots

I'm recovering from a big weekend. The town where we have a beach house, hosts a huge music festival every year. We heard lots of wonderful music and the weather was perfect. The only complaint I have, is all the ignorant people who talk during the performances. Why do they bother to come???

Anyway, I actually have a non-holiday card to share. I received this fabulous and versatile stamp set,  Insible Image 'Creative Chaos',  from the lovely Loll of 'Stamping with Loll'.

I stamped the flowers twice. Once on patterned paper and fussy cut and white embossed on the kraft card. I then stamped the rest of the graphics with black and clear embossed. The sentiment is from Flora and Fauna  Clear.

Pine cone Christmas Card

Here is a card I forgot to share, using a beautiful Penny Black stamp.

I inked the stamp with Zig Markers and Distress Inks, spritzed and stamped repeatedly until happy and then blended with a wet brush. The sentiment die is from Avery Elle and was coloured with Brushos. I dyed the twine with Brushos to match.

More Christmas Tags

The temperature reached the high 30s (celsius) today and we have more tomorrow, so I'm back with an Aussie Christmas tag.

This was made with a die from Ultimate Craft Dies and coloured with Zig Markers and Perfect Pearls for the berries.  The sentiment  and pp are from Kaisercraft and the tag die from Papertrey Ink.

Although it's so hot here, I still love making Winter scene Christmas cards and tags - maybe it's wishful thinking! So here are a couple more...

The deer tag is a 'see through' shaker, which was very difficult to photograph.

The tag die is from Impression Obsession. It's the same die for both and I cut 8 layers!  I tried this before with fun foam, but the foam gets squashed and ends up bigger. When I use dimensional tape, I always end up in a mess, so that's why I tried this method. Time consuming, but it works.

The stamp in the first tag is from Mama elephant 'Whimsical Winter' and in the 2nd tag I used a Stampendous stamp.

Both of these tags were inspired by Lisa's shaker tag from Day 5. I didn't have a bird stamp that suited, so adapted with what I had on hand.

Poinsettia Twofer

Here are another couple of cards made with a new die from Paper Rose Studio...

I used the complete die cut on the kraft card and on the second card I cut 2 layers and arranged them a bit differently. I coloured the die-cuts with Brushos and Nuvo Shimmer Powders.
Both sentiments are from Kaisercraft.

Monochrome Coffee Card

It's time for the mid-month reminder at the CAS Watercolour Challenge. Karen is our host this month and she chose 'MONOCHROMATIC' as the theme.

I was very excited when this stamp set arrived from my favourite new stamp company - The Greetery:)  So I've made a monochrome coffee card ...

I used Zig Markers and Distress Inks and stamped on Watercolour paper, blending with water.
The die is from MFT.  To finish, I matted with textured card stock and added some bling.

Our Design Team and Guest Designer, Birgit,  have some fabulous inspiration for you at our blog.
I hope to see your cards in our gallery.
