Hi there Crafty Friends! I have some wonderful news to share. I am so excited to be joining the amazing Design Team at Seize the Birthday Challenge! It was such a lovely surprise to be asked and of course I was delighted to say yes! So here is my first post as DT member.
Glenda is our host for this challenge and she's picked a fabulous colour combo for the topping this week.
To create my card, I embossed the kraft card and die cut the gorgeous bow and sentiment from red shimmer card. I added some shading to the bow with a Copic Marker and added a white off-set layer to the sentiment. To finish, I mounted this on a white card base.
Embossing Folder: Spellbinders Tufted
Dies: The Greetery Big Beautiful Bow
We have the lovely Amanda from 'Did you Stamp Today?' joining us as our Surprise Guest.
You can see Amanda's card and more from our talented team at Seize the Birthday Challenge blog.
I hope you'll find time to join us. Remember, the topping is optional, so if you prefer Anything Goes, that's fine, so long as it's birthday themed.
Congratulations on joining the very prestigious seize the birthday team. I love your card. What a good idea to add shading to that wonderful bow. I have that embossing folder and haven't used it for ages. Thanks for reminding me xx
ReplyDeleteLove this big red bow! Terrific card
ReplyDeleteWe are so happy to have you, Jenny! You certainly have started with a show stopper. That bow is awesome as is that background. Have a great day!
ReplyDeleteWow! All it took was a beautiful background and a beautiful bow to make a fantastic card. I am gob struck and now I need to buy more supplies.
ReplyDeleteGlad to have you on our team Jenny. Your big red bow is lovely on the embossed background. I like the way you off-set the sentiment with white also.
ReplyDeleteWe're so happy to have you here!!! Your quilted background is really stunning and I must add that your choice of the necklace as a backdrop is perfection!
ReplyDeleteWelcome aboard Jenny, love the quilted embossing, it looks so puffy, very tactile, perfect behind the rich red bow, Cathy x
ReplyDeleteBeautiful red and kraft creations, Jenny! Congrats on joining the Seize the Birthday team!! xx
ReplyDeleteJenny, welcome to the team. Your card is very pretty with the quilted EF and the lovely red ribbon and sentiment.
ReplyDeleteWhat a gorgeous red bow on the tufted kraft!
ReplyDeleteYay, great to have you on the team! This is such a luxurious card - needs to be accompanied by an expensive gift 😆
ReplyDeleteWelcome to the team!!
ReplyDeleteYou've actually managed to make the card with the two colors only (forget the peeking white behind the sentiment, negligible) - I totally love it! And that gorgeous bow is so lovely - I am thinking how awesome it might look against the same embossed background, but with gold - really classy!! Great card, Jenny!!
So very delighted to have you join us Jenny! Welcome!
ReplyDeleteYou rocked your first challenge. That textured background just looks so luxurious in the kraft and the big red bow just pops!
