Using up my leftovers

Hi there. Today I'm sharing a card I made for the CAS Mix Up challenge, using bits and pieces from my unfinished stash.

I've used stamps from 3 different companies in this fun collage.  The flamingo is from The Ton Stamps, the pineapple is from Concord & 9th and the remainder are from Altenew. I used various inks and markers on the images and Peerless Watercolour for the wash.

It's That Time of Year

Yes Spring has Sprung in Australia and the streets are  alive with an abundance of beautiful flowering Blossoms and Magnolias. I'm just waiting for our Irises and roses to make an appearance - they're late this year due to a long Winter.

When I was playing with my Twinkling H2Os last weekend, I coloured these Magnolias and today I created a card.
I used the stem from Altenew Vintage Flowers and used Zig Markers to make it thicker. The Magnolia images are from Altenew Magnolias for Mom and the sentiment is from Altenew's Painted Greetings. I coloured the images with Twinkiling H2Os and Zig Markers, making it fairly thick like acrylic paint as I used Canson Canvas Paper. I added some highlight with white gel pen.

A Bit of Fun

I've had this gorgeous set 'Honey Bears' from The Ton Stamps for a while, but I've only used it once!!! When I saw the graphic from The Ton September challenge, I thought it would be fun to create a scene.

I decided to make this card artsy. I used Penny Black Shade canopy to get the basic shape of the tree and then painted with various distress inks. The bears, bees and hive, from The Ton's 'Honey Bears' were coloured with Zig CCRB Markers.

Gaggle of Geese

Just popping in with a quick post to share a card I made for the CAS Watercolour Challenge. I recently purchased the Geese stamp at a Craft Fair and thought it would be perfect for this challenge.

The 'Gaggle of Geese' stamp is from Lavinia Stamps and I added the reeds with some very old Kaban stamps. I used Gansai Tambi watercolours and Brushos for the background. The oval frame die is from Dienamics, the sentiment from Simon Says Stamp and the embossing folder was a freebie.

Fall Haute Stacks

There's a new challenge at The Ton Stamps Blog and it's all about Fall colours. I had a lightbulb moment and knew what I wanted to do ...

I actually had several attempts at this card and wasn't happy until I decided to leave the books uncoloured and add splatter. The stamps are The Ton Haute Stacks and Wplus9 Autumn Leaves. I also added some gold leaf splatters to match the background panel.

More Otter Love

Here is another card I made on my weekend away...
I have used one of my fave stamp sets - MFT Otterly Love You, because Otters are my fave animal after dogs.
The tag is Kaisercraft paper and I've sponged it with various Distress Inks to get the Ombre effect. The Embossing folder is also from Kaisercraft. The Otters and fish were coloured with Copic Markers
I've used the colours and sketch from MFT , so I;m entering both those challenges and the Daily Marker 30 Day coloring Challenge.

Copic Watercolour!

I'm back from spending 3 days at our holiday house (2 days on my own!), where I took the opportunity to craft, read, walk and catch up on my favourite shows.  Such a luxury to have no responsibilities for a few days.

Whilst I was there I watched a Youtube video by Sandy Allnock about mimicking watercolour with Copic Markers. This was with markers only not a brush of blending solution. I've realised I really need to get more markers, because I don't seem to have enough similar shades. In the meantime, I thought I'd try to make mine look like watercolour too.

The front panel of the card was created with a Kaisercraft die - Decorative Die C6 Stitched Lattice. I really love it, especially with this natural speckled card. The image stamps are from Altenew's Totally Tropical set and the sentiment is from Enchanted Iris.

Do you think I managed to make the Copics look like watercolour?

And I'm attempting to take the 30 Day Colouring Challenge - although I'm a bit behind already
