It's Spring Somewhere!

Hi there. It's the first Saturday of the month, so that means a new challenge has begun at Penny Black Saturday Challenge. The theme this month is as always 'ANYTHING GOES' or 'FRESH SPRING COLOURS'.

I received some new PB stamps last week, so I was excited to make this card.

I decided to have a play with my Twinkling H2Os on the weekend and I'd forgotten how beautiful and shimmery they are. The stamp is called Penny Black 'Vase Garden' and is sooo pretty!!!

You can see more inspiration at the Penny Black Saturday Challenge Blog and I hope you'll play along. Don't forget you have the chance to win a prize from our wonderful sponsor 1-2-3 Stitch and if you are interested in being a Guest Designer, remember to add 'GDT' after your name.

Precious Poppy

Hi friends. I'm here to let you know about this month's CAS Watercolour Challenge. Our host this month is the talented Loll Thompson and the theme this month is POPPY, so it's sure to be a pretty gallery!

I used Zig Markers directly on the stamp and then used a wet brush to blend the colour after each time I stamped the image.

I hope you'll pop on over to the CAS Watercolour Challenge blog to see the wonderful cards created by our Design Team and Guest Designer, Rachel. I would love to see your creations too and you can enter the challenge here.

Lightbulb Moments

I have a couple of cards to share, which were inspired by this week's theme at Less is More Challenge.

I stamped the lightbulb on a piece of paper and cut out the image to make a negative mask. Then I used stencils, the mask and distress inks to colour in the lightbulbs. The sentiment on the first card is from Ellen Hutson and the other stamps are from Concord & 9th Shine Brighter.

Layered Stamping/Embossed Bloom

Hello there. After a few chilly days, the sun is shinning and it's a glorious Autumn day.  It's the sort of day I love walking around the neighbourhood and checking out the gardens. It also inspired me to make this card...

I was also inspired by the theme at CAS Mix Up Challenge, which is to layer heat embossing and called on my old stash of embossing powders to make this card.  The light blue and green powders are from Alison Ellison and are more like a combination of mica powder & embossing powder, so it shimmers. The other blues are from Judikins and the layer on the leaves is actually black ink clear embossed.
The stamp sets are from Altenew.

Coral Iris

Hi there. I should be in bed, so I must be quick!!!

I made a card for the Altenew Challenge.

I don't have the Altenew Tulip stamp, so I decided the Iris was similar and I thought it would be fun in this coral colour. I used ?Twinkling H2Os, so it's very shimmery:)

I love this fun stamp set, designed by my friend Shirley Bampton for Stamplorations.
