Hi there. Well I had an idea when I saw the new challenge for Runway Inspired challenge - I remembered I had some chipboard triangles left over from Christmas so this is what I did with them ...
So I made a vintage, non traditional Christmas card! Yay my 1st Christmas card for 2013!
I haven't made a card without any stamping or ink for a long time, so it was a change to work with pretty paper again.
Actually I have inked the edges of the base card with Victorian velvet distress ink.
I covered the chipboard with paper from the Prima Botanical Collection and sanded the edges.
I also haven't done much sewing on my cards lately, but that will change, because It's just been fixed (the dogs chewed the foot pedal cord!)
Love the vintage feel on this card..beautiful!
ReplyDeleteAlso thanks so much for taking the time to leave such thoughtful comments on my blog!
I am so glad you are enjoying your FC goodies...aren't they fun?
and to answer your question ..for all of my watercolor painted cards, I use 140# cold press watercolor paper from the craft store... hope that helps!
I love your pieced triangles, and the stitching adds great detail! Thanks for joining us on the Runway!
ReplyDeleteSimply lovely! Great idea for the triangles.
