Casing Wida Week 3

Hello, hello, hello!  I hope you all had a great weekend. I'm back today with a card for Case Study Challenge.

I had something else in mind for a case of Wida's card, but it just isn't working out - yet! So I went in a more literal direction and this is the result...

I have used stamps from Clearly Besotted Happy Everything, except for the diamond sparkles which is a stamp from Mama Elephant.  I used watercolour on the backside of the vellum as shown by Kathy in the OCC Watercolour class.

I'm also entering this in the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge which has a Botanical theme.

  1. Oh my goodness, this is just STUNNING! First of all, I love your bg embossing, what a clean look with lots of fab texture. And your use of this technique is gorgeous, so vibrant - I haven't tried it yet! So beautifully done!

  2. This is the second time I've seen a card with the colouring on the velum. It looks brilliant. The colours you have chosen are perfect as is the whole card.

  5. This card is nothing short of gorgeous! I am always too chicken to use much white in my projects, but you've shown me that white can be stunning!! I love how you embossed it to give it that wow factor. And then that flower pops with such vibrancy! Fabulous job of coloring that-- I would've never thought to use watercolors on the back side of vellum. Brilliant idea and a really fabulous card. I love the bit of sparkly string, too, which gives it even more elegance and texture! Thank you so much for inspiring me and for sharing this beauty with us here at the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge Blog!
