Stencil, Stamp and Die-cut

Hi there. I'm currently at our beach house with some crafty friends and having such a relaxing crafty time with the best company:)  This was the first card I made.

I was experiencing 'crafter's block' before the others arrived, so I watched a Jennifer McGuire video to get my Mojo back.   This is how I created the background:-

1/ Sponged the background with Distress Oxides,
2/ sponged Versamark through stencil and clear embossed
3/ stamped grid background
4/ sponged some white ink over panel, then buffed the embossed circles.
5/ Use heat gun again to make shiny

To finish I mounted on a white card base, added the stamped sentiment and die-cut butterflies.

I'm entering the following challenges:-
