I'm hosting this challenge and I really wanted to create a card that blended the colours to show how when combined, complementary colours can tone each other down. I have many backgrounds in my stash now, because I was really fussy:) This is the final result...
I made a wash on Arches Smooth watercolour paper, using Daniel Smith and Peerless Watercolours and when dry, I die-cut the feathers. Next I die-cut the panel, using Penny Black Antique Frame, stamped the Hero Arts sentiment and mounted the feathers. To finish, I matted this on a blue card base and added some splatter.

Absolutely STUNNING card Jenny...I just love how you've blended the blues and oranges on your feathers! Great challenge this month too...I really enjoyed playing with so many color combinations, even though my favorite ended up being the orange and blues together. :0)

Gorgeous, vibrant colours for your feathers, Jenny! They looks amazing. Love how you have the separate colour at each end of the feather, with the mix of the two in the middle. Great work! This has been a really fun challenge ... thanks for that! xx
