Border Collie Birthday Card

My daughter asked me to make a birthday card with this dog as the inspiration...

cute!!!

She wanted me to use the following Clearly Besotted stamp (Puppy Love)...


Well I love this stamp, but I'll admit I struggled to get the colouring right and of course it doesn't look anything like a Border Collie. 



So I tried again with a stamp designed by my friend Shirley for Stamplorations. 
I decided to put him in a garden setting.

    Both cards are lovely Jenny, but I must admit the second one looks the most like your 'model'! I love how you have mounted the first pup, especially the double framing.

    You've done a fantastic job of coloring both of these pooches, Jenny! Love the little puppy against the splash background and the layered frames! Such a stately and dignified dog in the garden! Your daughter will be happy with both, I'm sure.

    Both cards are awesome Jenny! I love the first one with that sweet pup. So adorable with the turquoise background and your two angled frames!! Your second card is so sweet ... LOVE the expression on the dog's face. Looks like he's having a great time in the garden! :) xx
