There are changes to the CAS Family Challenges......The new CAS Mix Up Challenge will include a rotation of challenges ...
Mixed Media, Stencil, Watercolour (repeat).
So this month is a Mixed Media Challenge and Susan, our host, has asked us to include Embossed Vellum on our cards. You can achieve this with a stylus on printed or heat embossed images (love the raised effect you can achieve), using an embossing folder or heat embossing an image.
Don't forget to include stamping on yoUr card, one other mm element and keep it CAS.
I began by using an embossing folder to emboss a piece of vellum card-stock. Next I swiped Versamark ink over the raised bits and heat embossed with golds embossing powder. I inked and embossed the edges as well. Then I stamped the gorgeous Stamplorations rose , heat embossed with gold powder and coloured the reverse side of the vellum with Alcohol markers.
To finish, I assembled the layers and stamped the Altenew sentiment. I didn't heat emboss the sentiment, because this small script looks better without embossing powder.
We have the very talented Bonnie (Paper Crafter at Large) as our Guest Designer this month. You can see Bonnie's card and find more inspiration over on the CAS Mix Up Blog, along with some links to videos.
Thanks for taking the time to visit my blog! I love to read your comments:)

This is such a pretty vellum card, Jenny! The pink rose is sooo lovely! I love the combo of the dry-embossing and the gold heat-embossing! I think simply stamping the sentiment instead of heat-embossing worked very well for this card.
