I tried to make it a bit Mixed Media and a bit grunge, inspired by the design team, but it still looks fairly CAS! I guess I'm just a clean & simple gal at heart!
I stamped the circle border with Antique Linen and a touch of Spiced Chai and then stamped the newspaper script in dark brown. I'd previously made the leaf die-cuts, by watercolouring and heat embossing with a new purchase, Distress Embossing Glaze Powder (Cracked Pistachio). The sentiment is a tape which I outlined with Sepia Marker.
At my beach house I have a box of old Scrapbooking ephemera, that I rarely use these days and I found the wood clock face and a button. I inked up the clock face with Distress Inks.
To finish I mounted this panel on a black card base.
Stamps:- Papertrey Ink 'Circle Borders'; Kaisercraft 'Newsprint'

Thanks for taking the time to visit my blog! I love to read your comments:)
A fabulous card Jenny - loving those leaves. Like you I am basically a CAS cardmaker, and find adding grunge and layers difficult

DeleteLove this masculine collage, Jenny! Love that stamped border and the added dimension of the colored leaves and clock face!
ReplyDeleteI really like this-it is CAS but has so much detail in a CAS card and that is so hard to do! The border looks great and I love the layering up of the clock and the colour is just perfect for a masculine card. Thanks for joining CASology x
ReplyDeleteSo cool! I love your collage design Jenny! A fantastic vintage and masculine card. I was watching TH video earlier about the Distress Glazes. I need to give those a try. Your leaves are beautiful! xx
