52 CHRISTMAS CARD THROWDOWN (AUG '22 THEME)

Hi Crafty Friends. It's time for a new 52CCT challenge. Valerie is our host for August at 52 Christmas Card Throwdown Challenge. It's a theme challenge this week and Valerie wants us to include 'Skiing/Sledding' on our cards.

I immediately thought of these cute Penguins when I saw the theme.

CAS MIX UP AUG'22 REMINDER

Hello there! I'm just popping in to remind you about this month's CAS Mix Up Challenge!

This month is a Mixed Media themed challenge. Nancy is our host and the prompt is 'Emboss Resist'.

There are some links to video tutorials on the CAS MIX UP blog and an explanation from Nancy as to what she would like to see.

Please remember to keep your card designs Clean and Simple, include stamping and one other Mixed Media element.

I stamped 2 different background stamps and embossed with white embossing powder. I used various inks, Nuvo and Cosmic Shimmer Powders. The gorgeous die-cut leaf is from SSS.

52 CHRISTMAS CARD THROWDOWN (AUG '22 COLOUR)

It's time for the Colour Challenge at 52 CCT. Valerie is our host and has chosen a really pretty non-traditional colour combo. Hope you have fun with it.

I new I wanted to do an ombre type wash as soon as I saw these colours. The Xmas tree stamp was a gift from a friend who was de-stashing.

Altenew August 2022 Marvelous Monthly Series Release Blog Hop + Giveaway ($300 in Total Prizes!)

I'm so happy to be joining in the Altenew August 2022 Marvelous Monthly Series Release Blog Hop and I have a few cards I really enjoyed creating to share with you today. You should have arrived here from Penny Pynnonen's blog, if not, you can start at the beginning at the Altenew Card Blog, where you will see Lydia's gorgeous creations.

This collection features daffodils, magnolias, a peony, an anemone, and sweet star balloons. The versatile products can be mixed and matched to create many inspiring projects!

First up I have used the Altenew Craft Your Life Project Kit : 'MAGNOLIA & BLOOMS'

The kit includes Stamps and co-ordinating Stencil & Die. I've used all 3 on this card and the Altenew Blending Tools make it so easy.

This time I stamped the image on watercolour Paper and coloured with Altenew Artists' Watercolour Paints.

Next up are a couple of cards using the Stunning Altenew Craft-A-Flower: Open Peony (layering die set).

I used Designer Paper for this card with a bit of shading from Altenew Inks. You can see I stecilled a subtle background with Altenew Intricate Mandala Stencil. The sentiment is from Altenew Magnolia & Blooms.

I used coloured card stock this time and shaded with Altenew Inks and Nuvo Glitter Gloss Pen. I embossed the background with Altenew Magnolia & Blooms Embossing Folder. The sentiment is also from Magnolia & Blooms.

ALTENEW INSPIRATION CHALLENGE August '22

Hi all! I absolutely love the colours for this month's Altenew Inspiration Challenge and the photo is great too. I have several ideas and this is my first one.

I used the beautiful new stencil from Altenew, called Intricate Mandala with Altenew and Distress Inks. The Altenew blending tool makes this so easy. For the sentiment I used another new product Altenew One-Go Birthday Greetings, which allows you to stamp and die-cut lots of sentiments in one go.

PENNY BLACK SATURDAY CHALLENGE AUGUST '22

Well hello there! It's the first Saturday of the month, so we have a new challenge at Penny Black Saturday Challenge. This month our theme is 'ANYTHING GOES' or Optional: 'MUSIC'

I recently acquired this stamp and others from my friend Jenny Dix, who was de-stashing - thanks Jen!

52 Christmas Card Throwdown August '22 Sketch

Hi Crafty Friends. Valerie is our host for June at 52 Christmas Card Throwdown Challenge. The first challenge of the month is always a sketch challenge. Here is Valerie's sketch for this month, which I really like!

The stamped images were coloured with Prismacolor Pencils. I arranged all the die-cuts based on the sketch on the dry embossed panel.

All products are from Uniquely Creative.

You can stretch this out, or use different shapes, as long as we can see the basic sketch in your card.

Altenew August 2022 Bold & Beautiful Release Blog Hop + Giveaway ($300 in Total Prizes!)

Hello Crafty Friends! I'm so excited to be a Guest Designer (due to being one of the challenge winners) in the Altenew August Bold & Beautiful Release Blog Hop and I have lots of cards to share.

You should have arrived here from Erum Tasneem's blog, if not, you can start at the beginning at the Altenew Card blog, where you will see Emily's gorgeous creations.

My first card is featuring Altenew's Arch of Flowers Stamp set, Stencil and Die. Also showing a sentiment from Altenew One-Go Birthday Greetings.

The image was stamped with Altenew Obsidian Ink and then I used the co-ordinating stencil and Altenew Inks to colour. Then it was die-cut and the circle card assembled, adding the the sentiment to finish.

Next up I have used the Altenew's Dazzling Dahlia Stamps & Dies and Floating Foliage Embossing Folder.

I stamped the flower and bird with Altenew Obsidian Ink and water-coloured with Altenew Inks and Nuvo Shimmer Powder.

This next card was made with Altenew's gorgeous new stencil - Intricate Mandala. There are so many ways to use this stencil and it is definitely going to be one of my favourites. I also used a sentiment from Altenew One-Go Birthday Greetings.

I used my new Altenew Blending Brush, which made it so easy to get a seamless result with the stencilling.

Here is another card using the stencil...

This time I dry embossed the card with the stencil. Next I used Versamark ink through the stencil to make it sticky and went over this with Gold PanPastel. I've used another sentiment from Altenew One Go Birthday Greetings.

The next card features Altenew One-Go Birthday Greetings

I had so much fun using Altenew Water-colour Metallic Paints to create the background and then all I had to do was add some sentiments.

Finally we have a pretty embossing folder - Altenew Rolling Foliage. The Butterfly is from Altenew Dazzling Dahlia Stamp and the sentiment from One-Go Birthday Greetings.

This was so easy to make. I simply blended ink with the Altenew Blending Brush over the embossed panel and then added the sentiment and Butterfly.
