I was lucky enough to win the random prize at TAWS last week so I will get
one of there awesome stamps. Can't wait to play with it!
Here is my card for this week's challenge:-
I've used another one of their free digital stamps and did
some paper piecing with a paper pad from Inque Boutique.

Moxie Fab World - Tuesday Trigger 'Soup to Nuts'
I decided to have a bit of fun with this weeks Tuesday Trigger. This is what I did ...
Yep, I found some free social networking icons here
and here via Pinterest and decided to use these instead of
letters and numbers.

Runway Inspired #20
It's a beautiful sunny morning in Melbourne and it's Grand Final Day for Aussie Rules
Football. Unfortunately the forecast is for rain and hail when the game is on, but
my Husband and Son remain optimistic about the weather and the game. They are going to
see their beloved Hawthorn play. There is very strong rivalry between Sydney and
Melbourne and the other team is from Sydney. Anyway, I hope hope our team wins so I have
2 happy boys at home tonight! GO HAWKS!
Now, back to cards! Here is a card for the Runway Inspired challenge #20:-
The image stamps are from Stampin Up 'oh so lovely' set
and haven't been used for a long time. The sentiment is from
Stamp World. I used Copics and glitter pens to colour the
flowers and black enamel on the centre of the poppy.

City Crafter week 127- Inchies challenge
I've been using Opals thick embossing powder a bit lately because it's been sitting
neglected in my cupboard for years!
I decided to have a bit of a play with Inchies and the coloured Opals.
I inked the Inches and then embossed with Opals
3 times. I then heated it again and pressed the stamp in to the Inchie.
I then die cut the sentiment and pressed the card in to an embossing pad and
used the same powder to emboss it. This was a fun method and
I like the combination of texture and smoothness.

Moxie Fab World TT/Simon Says Stamp
Just a quick post, because it's school holidays here and we are planning
to enjoy the sunshine today.
I made this card for the Tuesday Trigger - envy and also the
Simon Says Stamp Challenge 'emboss it'.
The card is a Hambly acetate sheet. I lined the inside left panel
with green card and machine stitched at the top.
I die cut the frame from black caed and the embossed it 3 times with
Opals thick embossing powder.
The sentiment is another one from my Kikki K set and the rhinestones
are from Kaisercraft. I decided to keep it simple so it could be given
to a male.

Playdate Cafe - revisited
Here's another one for this week's Playdate Cafe,
because I really do love these colours!
because I really do love these colours!
This card was a true serendipitous creation! I looked in my box
of scrap paper and found these - The purple is crate paper, the 'seafoam' is
Prima and the 'tangerine' is Pink Paislee. The buttons, sequins and gems
are also from a big tin of mixed bling. The sentiment stamp is from Kikki K!
I receivied an email giving me $10 to spend in store, no minimum spend
so I got a box sent of stamps for $10. They are lots of fun.
I thought I'd enter this in the Moxie Fab World movement challenge. I know when I look at this card my eyes start at the left hand side of the banner, then move across and then down to the sentiment. |

Playdate cafe
The colours at the Playdate Cafe this week are just gorgeous! So soft and feminine.
I'm away for the weekend with limited supplies . I tried to do a watercolour, but I wasn't happy with the peach colour, so then I remembered my copies. This is the result:-

Another Runway Inspired
I've had lots of ideas for this challenge at Runway Inspired and have made a few cards based on 2 or 3 of those ideas. Here is one of them.
As you can see it is very simple, using a Hero Arts chevron die, Marianne
design Happy birthday die and random card. I think I might make a few more
of these for male birthday cards.
I'm also entering this in the Simon Says Stamp 'We're so trendy' challenge

Now for a card. I made this Christmas card for using Hero Arts big ticket stamp.
I wanted to make a Christmas card using non- Christmas supplies. I was inspired by some
Teresa Collins paper I had in my stash. I think the red/black and white is a good colour combo for a male card.
I am entering this in the City Crafter Challenge
- the theme is Polka Dot Palooza!

Runway Inspired #19
This month's challenge at Runway Inspired is a little bit different - it's a bloke!
The colours are wonderful - they reminded me of the beach.
Originally I was going to use a bigger orange panel and a thin navy on the side, but
I really liked this striped blue and white card.
The lighthouse stamp is very, very old, from 1993 made by Stylish Images Australia.
It's meant to look sketchy - it's not bad stamping!

Simon Says Stamp and Show - take 2
Here is another card for the Simon Says Stamp and Show
challenge.
This is definitely not my usual style - I wanted to use my new Hero Arts stamp
and was trying to be a bit whimsical. I don't think I succeeded. Oh well.
I am also entering this in the Simon Says Stamp challenge

Playdate Cafe/For Dad
Today I decided to make a something for my Dad, who has just had surgery on his back this morning.
He is 86 years old, so the operation was full of risks, but it was the last resort. He also has Macular Degeneration and can't see very well, so I decided to make the card big, more like a painting, because he used to paint and really appreciates anything I do. I used the colours from this week's Playdate Cafe challenge. They are so pretty.
I had a wall sticker of a hummingbird, so I traced it on to some
designer newsprint paper and then coloured it with distress ink and
h2os, then used some gold ink and perfect pearls for a bit of extra shimmer.
The background was painted on watercolour paper, using various green and blue
distress inks and a silver grey liquid pearls. Then I added some interest to the
background by stamping a Stampin up Fine Lace design and Judikins Papyrus
in faded jeans ink. I also stamped HA Japanese script in gold.
The FLowers are Hero Arts from Frames and Sprigs stamped in olive green and pink.
The sentiment is using various stickers from my stash.
In the bottom right corner I have stamped my name with a stamp from China.
I stitched around the frame for a bit more texture.
I'm also entering this in the Simon Says Stamp -

Embellish Magazine - Tree trends
This week's challenge at the Embellish blog is trees. I have a few tree stamps so I might have to make more than one card |
I coloured the image with pencils and copic markers. I have used glitter glue on the bird and glossy accents on the pears. |
