My 1st Blueprints Card

I noticed there is a new challenge at MFT Stamps, using Die-namics Blueprint dies, so I purchased one to be able to take part. This month's theme is to use more than one, so now I've ordered a couple more!!! In the meantime, I've made a card using Blueprint nbr 30 and hopefully it's ok to enter the challenge (I've mixed it with the stamps and co-ordinatiing dies.

The stamp set is called 'Snuggle Bunnies' and it was a 'must have' after the last Craft Retreat.

As the dies and stamps are new products to me, I'm also entering Darnell's NBUS Challenge nbr12.

Stained Glass Effect

Today I am sharing a couple of cards I made for the Ellen Hutson Pin-Sights Challenge. The moodboard is really beautiful and I was so inspired.

My first thing I thought of was a stained glass window or mozaic and so I designed this card with that in mind...

I stamped the leaves and flowers with Versafine and coloured with Zig Markers. The background was coloured with distress ink.

This next card was inspired by the 'Balanced Seaglass' - such a peaceful image!

I used Zig Markers for this card too and thought it would be fun to mix up the colours in the top leaf.

The stamp sets are both from Ellen Hutson - Bold Bloom and Hello Gorgeous. I embossed the black card base with a leaf background from Kaisercraft.

Blue Cat

Here is another card for the Scrapbook boutique challenge.

This is another very old stamp from a company no longer in existence. I love this cat and tought this paper from Kaisercraft suited the moodboard from Scrapbook Boutique September Challenge.

Polka Dot Sheep

Over the weekend I was trying to use up some of the bits and pieces I stamped whilst I was at our Craft Retreat in March and I thought these sheep would be perfect for the current MFT Sketch Challenge.

The sheep are from MFT Ewe are the Best, The balloon and sentiment are from MFT Happy Pandas and the paper is from MFT Sweet Celebration.

Oriental Orchid

Hi again. I am back with another card for the Altenew Challenge, using a new (to me) stamp set. I think this will be the first of many.

I used the colours from the Altenew challenge and found a pic through Google to give me inspiration.
The stamp set is Oriental Orchid and I white embossed on canvas card stock and coloured with Twinks again.

Beautiful Papers

I'm getting inspired to use papers in my cards again and I found some gorgeous pads at a recent Kaisercraft sale.

I die cut the tag and stamped the image and sentiment  from Honeybee Stamp and Ellen Hutson and gold embossed.
The tag die is from Papertrey Ink, t he rectangle die from Dienamics and the paper from Kaisercraft.

As always, I find it hard to get a good pic of metallics, but I hope you can see hour pretty it is.

Hello Gorgeous

Here is another card for the The Classroom MIx Up Challenge, combining Ellen Hutson and Honey Bee Stamps - both stamp sets are called 'Hello Gorgeous'.
I stamped and gold embossed the images and sentiments on Canvas card stock and also added an edge to the card. The gems are coloured with Zig Markers and then I added clear Wink of Stellar. It's a very glittery card.

Another Coffee Creation

Last month I was one of the lucky winners in the Altenew challenge and on of the products I purchased was this gorgeous leaf cover plate. It arrived yesterday (so quickly from USA!) and I had to use it immediately!!!

I die cut the leaves panel from Altenew's Striped Leaf Cover die and backed it with a panel of blended Distress Oxide Inks.
The sentiment is from Stampendous and is gold embossed on vellum. I then decided to back it with white card, to make it stand out better. I'm used to using more vibrant colours, but I really like the muted (almost sherbet) effect of these inks. I added a few sequins for a touch of bling.
I decided to put it in a frame.

Fall Coffee Lovers Card Makers Bloghop

Hi there! It's been so long since I've played along with this fabulous bloghop, but now that I'm back in to regular crafting, I think I might make a few cards this time. Here is my first card ....

When you have paper as nice as this one, you have to make a feature of it, so I decided to paper piece the coffee mug and use as a background. I especially love the little fieldmouse.
Do you like my real life embellishment?!!! Yes a ladybird (bug) crawled on the card as I was taking the pic and then flew away home :)
The stamps are from STAMPlorations. The wash and cup lid were coloured with Zig Markers.

The CLASSroom Mix Up with Honey Bee Stamps

I felt like doing a bit of colouring today, so I made a card for the Mix Up challenge, using an image from Hone Bee Stamps and a sentiment from Ellen Hutson.

Funnily enough, both these stamp sets are called 'Hello Gorgeous' - maybe that's why they go together so well. I used Zig Markers and Distress Inks  to colour everything.

Ink Only take 2!

Here's another card for Where Creativity Meets C9 challenge - Ink Only
It might look like water colour, but it's not. I coloured the background stamps with distress inks, spritzed and stamped. Then I stamped the skeleton leaves with orange ink and embossed with a copper embossing powder. Then I swiped ink over some card, spritzed and die cut the sentiment.

An Oldie, but a Goodie!

I saw the moodboard at Scrapbook Boutique and couldn't resist playing along. So I pulled out a very old wood-mounted rubber stamp and this is my card ...

The cat stamp is from Artee Stamps, an Australian company that no longer exists. I stamped the image twice and masked the flower on the main image and painted a wash, using Brushos. Then I coloured the other image and fussy cut, cutting the head from the body and mounting at 2 different thickenesses. I used Zig Markers to colour the images and added white wink of Stellar to the eyes, chest and paws. The sentiment is from STAMPlorations.

What do you think - it reminds me of a bobble toy that people used to sit on the dashboard of their car in the '70s

MFT 2017 Card Design Superstar: Clean & Simple Genius

Hi there. My Favorite Things have got an amazing competition called 'Card Design Superstar'. Tis year they have three categories and you can enter one card in each category. They have 15 prizes and apparently there is a random prize too. So why not give it a go!

This card is for the 'Clean & Simple' Genius Category...

I stamped MFT Spring Wreath and flowers on watercolour card stock with Memento ink and then added highlights with Zig Markers. The sentiment was stamped and embossed on gorgeous natural card stock, which has little flecks - I thought it suited these images. I die cut all the elements with the matching die, added some bling and mounted with dimensional foam tape. The owl from MFT I'm Owl Yours is coloured with Copic Markers. I decided to add the goggle eyes for a bit of fun:)

Thanks for visiting! Now you should check out the competition.

Pineapple Pop Art

I decided to have a bit of fun with the Concord & 9th Pineapple Pop Art stamp set and use a mix of colours. This is the end result...

The theme this month at Where Creativity Meets C9 is to get back to basics and just use inks, so I made my card very simple and let the ink colours and stamps do the talking.  The inks are Memento Die Inks.
