A Berry Christmas

Hi there.

I absolutely adore Penny Black Brushstrokes, however I rarely get it right first time! This was my 9th attempt!  I'm probably being hard on myself and I may go back and make cards with my rejects.

I used Zig Markers and some of my favourite colours are running out, so I'm sure if they are juicy, it would be easier to get the stamped effect I like. I sponged the edge of the card with Distress Oxide Inks.

And Another Twofer!

I do love leaves, so I couldn't resist making another couple of cards for the Twofer Card Challenge.

In the 1st card I stamped the leaf on vellum with Distress Inks and then blended with a wet brush. When it was dry, I  stamped it again and carefully dried it with a heat gun and the fussy cut.
In the 2nd card I repeatedly stamped the leaf with Delicata Gold Ink. Next Istamped and embossed the sentiment and added some splatter.
The stamp set is Concord & 9th 'Lace Leaf'.

Twofer Leaves

I finally have some time to play in some challenges and these cards are for the current Twofer Challenge, where the theme is ‘LEAVES’.

The first card was made with watercolour paints and Zig Markers and the second card was stamped with Delicata Gold and Altenew Inks. The stamp set is Concord & 9th 'Beautiful Branches'.

By the way, I'm posting on my phone, so there may be some glitches!

Non Tradtional Christmas Wreath

I'm back at the Beach House and so I'm posting on my Iphone, which is a bit tricky, so please forgive any mistakes.

I bought a magazine the other day, which had these stamps as  freebies.

I used Zig Markers to colour the images and the sentiment die is from Penny Black.

More Watercolour Trees

Hello there. I'm just popping in to remind you about this month's CAS Watercolour Challenge.
The theme this month is 'Tree' and my mind has been brimming with ideas!

I've used a Penny Black stamp called 'Peaceful Moment'. I do love this stamp, but every time I use it, I create a silhouette, usually with a sunset. I couldn't think of a different way to use it. However, this time I was determined to create something different and then I had an epiphany!

I used Distress Inks and Zig Markers directly on the stamp, spritzed and stamped. I did this a few times. Then I took another stamp, an old wood mount from Penny Black and coloured the dots with a few different green Zig Markers, spritzed and stamped over the tree to give the original image some foliage.  I also added some green down near the fence.

I then matted the panel with some Lawnfawn designer paper and mounted with dimensional tape on the base card.

You still have until 24 September to play along. We can't wait to see what you create using a Tree stamp, die, or stencil and water!!  Make sure you check out the FABULOUS  cards from the DT and our Special Guest Designer Ros from Mikey's Mom for more inspiration, and then play along with us right HERE

Another Sketch

Hello there. Just here to remind you about this month's Penny Black Saturday Challenge. The theme this month is either Anything Goes or if you want more of a challenge, follow the sketch.

As you can see, I flipped the sketch. I used Kaisercraft designer paper and an old Penny Black rubber stamp and a sentiment from Banner Sentiments.

I do hope you have the chance to play along in our challenge. You can see more inspiration at the challenge blog and can enter the challenge here.

I've been busy making cards for my Design Teams. as I'm going away for a month in Oct/Nov and I'm busy with house renos too, so I want to be up to date. This card however, was made for absolutely no reason except for fun. I didn't have to think - I just created:)

The image stamp is from Penny Black and is called 'Berry, Bevy'. The sentiment is from PB 'Sentiment Banners'. I love Penny Black Stamps so much and just ordered another 2:) I used Zig Marker, Distress Inks and Recollections Snow Embossing Powder.

Christmas Wreath

Greetings from my Beach House! I'm staying here while our home in Melbourne is being renovated and I'm having fun making lots of cards!

I've finally worked out how to post on the blog on my phone & Ipad, but it's still a bit tricky adding pics and scrolling down to add things.

Here is a card I made for the CAS Christmas Challenge:-

The stamps are from Avery Elle and I used Zig Markers for the wreath and Gold Delicata imk for the sentiment.

Stamping with Markers

Hi there! The theme this month for CAS Mix Up Challenge is to use markers with your stamping. That’s pretty easy for me, because this is the technique I use about 50% of the time.

I’ve used Penny Black ‘Blossom Branch ‘ and Zig Markers.  The sentiment die is from Lawn Fawn.

Watercolour Trees

Hello there!Welcome to the start of another CAS Watercolour Challenge. This month's host is Loll from Stamping with Loll and she has chosen a wonderful theme.

It's Spring over here in Australia, so I thought I'd get in the mood by featuring a Blossom Tree!

I stamped the branch from the Altenew's Vintage Flowers and then using Zig Markers and a waterbrush I made the branch much thicker and added a few extra bits. Then I stamped some leaves and added some freehand, once again using the Zigs and waterbrush. The flowers were stamped with Memento inks and then detail added with Zigs and water.  To finish, I die cut the panel, matting it on a Kraft card base, stamped the sentiment in gold ink and added a few gold sequins.

We are so happy to have Ros from Mikey's Mom as our Guest Designer this month. Please check out the challenge blog to see her card and get inspiration from the rest of the Design Team.

Butterfly Blues

Another month has come around and it's time for the Penny Black Saturday Challenge to begin.

This month you have the option of 'Anything Goes' or you can make a card based on the following sketch.

It's been a while since I've followed a sketch and I decided to make it monochrome and use some pretty co-ordinating designer paper from Kaisercraft.   The butterfly is from Penny Black 'Soft wings' and the sentiment is from Penny Black 'Snippets'.  I used Distress Inks and Zig Markers to colour the butterfly.

If you would like the chance to be a guest designer for the challenge, don't forget to add the 'GDT' to your entry. Hop on over to the Penny Black Saturday Challenge blog and see what the rest of the DT have created and we'd love you to play along.
