It's time to remind you about this month's CAS Mix Up Challenge. Linda is our host and it's a Watercolour Challenge, with the prompt 'Things with Wings'. That should give you plenty of scope. Please be sure to make water-colouring the main element of your card and keep your designs Clean and Simple.
I stamped the bird twice, once on the main panel and on a piece of scrap, which was coloured with Altenew Metallic Watercolours and then the body fussy-cut. I sketched and water-coloured the branch.
My instict is always to add splatter, but I wanted to keep this one really CAS and simple.
Stamp: Kaisercraft Fly Free; SSS Sketched Flowers
Die: Spellbinders
You can find more inspiration from our talented Design Team over on the CAS Mix Up Blog and we hope you'll be inspired to join the challenge.
No splatter needed, it is perfect just as it is xx
ReplyDeleteBeautifully watercolored with metallic paints bird and branch, Jenny. I think splatters would be a really nice touch too. Your hand drawn branch turned out perfect. TFS my friend. Love and Hugs...Nancy
ReplyDeleteA wonderful card Jenny - love the colours on the bird, and it's a stunning card 'as is.'

This is lovely Jenny - to splatter or not to splatter?!! No idea cos I like it just as it is! x
ReplyDeleteThis bird is so elegant, Jenny, and the branch is perfectly sketched! I love the colored background peeking through the dots!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful card Jenny. Love your layered bird which adds so much dimension. Adding the shadow always makes the bird pop-up from the background. Great work drawing and painting your branch. xx
ReplyDeleteThis is beautiful. Love the colours of the bird, and the sketched branch looks fab ..... great job!
