The Card Concept #208 Hello Summer

Welcome Crafty Friends. It's time for another challenge at The Card concept. The theme is Hello Summer. Well it is in the Northern Hemisphere!

I was very inspired by the display in the picture and wanted to replicate the colours and patterns to make a CLEAN & LAYERED card.
I used a very old Embossing Folder and a Stencil for the patterns and a die for the greenery.
The butterfly was cut from Washi Tape layered on white card.

Remember, an inspiration photo is exactly that- a starting point for inspiration. Will it be the colours, the overall theme, the texture, the actual items and/or something else that will inspire your card?

I hope you'll visit The Card Concept Challenge Blog to see what the rest of the team has created and will be inspired to play along in the challenge with us.

Choose a design style (or combine styles), create a card, and in your blog post, let us know what inspired you from the photo, what style and/or styles you chose and don't forget to display our inspiration photo and link back to our challenge.

Thanks for taking the time to visit my blog! I love to read your comments:)

Pink and Aqua

Hi there Crafty Friends.  Here's a card inspired by the Colour combo this week at Just Us Girls Challenge.

I had this foiled image in my unfinished stash. It was an experiment because I used Cold Press Watercolour Paper. It didn't work very well as it didn't all transfer, but I decided to watercolour it anyway and I think it ended up ok. The background wash was made with Cosmic Shimmer Powder.
Hotfoil Plate: Spellbinders

I'm sharing this card at the following challenges:-

Here is a bonus card ! It's another Magnolia, this time from Altenew, Magnolia Ballerina.

Stamped with Delicata Gold Ink and coloured with Altenew Watercolour Paints.
The sentiment is from Concord & 9th.

Masculine Card

Hey there! Just popping in to share a card for several masculine themed challenges.

I used a steel blue ink and 2nd Generation stamping for the buildings and then a charcoal wash for the road. The car was stamped with black ink. clear embossed, coloured with Karin and Zig Markers and fussy-cut.
Here is an alternative version...

Stamps: Penny Black Skyline

The car stamp is an oldie from a defunct Australian designer

Metallic Birthday

Hi there Crafty Friends.  I'm having a bit of a Mojo problem at the moment, but I'm heading to our Beach House tomorrow for some solitude and to escape germs from both my boys. So I'm sure I'll get back in to crafting again. In the meantime I'm sharing some previously made, but not shared cards.

I really love neutral colours of Alcohol Inks, especially when paired with a metallic colour. This time I used Rose Gold and die cut a matching sentiment from metallic cardstock.
Dies: W& W 'Celebrate', SSS Leaf

I'm sharing at the following challenges:-

Favourite die Shape (I love adding die-cut foliage to artsy backgrounds)
