THE CARD CONCEPT #184A/B Thanksgiving or Merry Christmas

Hi there Crafty Friends! It's time for the second challenge challenge of the month at The Card Concept

For those of you who are new to our challenge, every two weeks we will post our inspiration photo challenge and hope that you will join us by creating a card for our challenge gallery.

We are starting something new this year- the second challenge of every month, we are posting two challenge photos!  You can choose whichever photo you prefer, or you could create two separate cards, one for each photo!

I was inspired by the pretty Christmas Tree and decorations in the 2nd photo as well as the colours, to create a Clean and Layered card.

I used a pretty Memory Box Die to create this Christmas card. I coloured the sky with Altenew Watercolour paint and embossed the 'sow' with a Stampin Up EF. The sentiment is from Hello Bluebird.

Remember, an inspiration photo is exactly that- a starting point for inspiration. Will it be the colours, the overall theme, the texture, the actual items and/or something else that will inspire your card?

I hope you'll visit The Card Concept Challenge Blog to see what the rest of the team has created and will be inspired to play along in the challenge with us.

Choose a design style (or combine styles), create a card, and in your blog post, let us know what inspired you from the photo, what style and/or styles you chose and don't forget to display our inspiration photo and link back to our challenge :)

Thanks for taking the time to visit my blog! I love to read your comments:)

Seize the Birthday - Surprise Guest #4

Hello there Crafty Friends! I'm back again with my 2nd card as Surprise Guest at Seize the Birthday Challenge. The theme for this challenge is 'FAUX or REAL STITCHING' but the themes are always optional, so you can enter any card, as long as it's a Birthday Card.

I  included some real stitching in the centre of the rose. I chose the Pinpoint background, because it's like stitching without the thread:)
The dies are from various Altenew die sets. I have them all mixed together, so I'm not sure of the name of the sets.  I die-cut the flower from a smooshed background. The leaves were coloured with Karin Markers and Cosmic Shimmer Powder.
Dies: Altenew Flowers; Memory Box Pinpoint Leaf Plate
Stamp: Inspired by Stamping (sadly no longer around)

I hope you'll visit  Seize The Birthday blog for some more fabulous inspiration from the design team and then join in the challenge with us.
