Penny Black Saturday Challenge

Well hello there! It's the first Saturday of the month, so we have a new challenge at Penny Black Saturday Challenge.

This month our theme is 'ANYTHING GOES' or the twist 'CHRISTMAS'.

I made another Snowy card , but this time I made a Mixed Media background

I began by making a light wash to the background. When dry I stamped and embossed 3 snowflakes with Pearl Embossing Powder. Then I stamped 3 more snowflakes with Karin Markers, spritzed liberally with water. The polka dots on the hat were added with white Gouache.  I stamped, coloured with co-ordinating colours and fussy-cut Snowy. To finish I stamped the sentiment and Snowy again on the white strip and added shading.
Stamps: Penny Black Snowy, Snowfall

The prize for this challenge is as always, provided by our generous sponsor

52 CHRISTMAS CARD CHALLENGE #45 - DECEMBER 21

Hi there Crafty Friends! Well Can you believe it's December and so it's the last 52CCT Challenge for 2021! I've so enjoyed making Christmas cards throughout the year and now I have lots of cards to send out!

We are asking you to choose any prompt from from our challenges of 2021 and I have chosen Gill's sketch from last month.

I stamped the woodgrain pattern with Gold ink and embossed with Ranger Vintage Pearl.
I made a smooshed background with Brushos and when dry, die-cut the Poinsettia.
Next I stamped the leaves and sentiment. To finish, I constructed the card as per the sketch and added some gorgeous gold rhinestone for bling.
Stamp: Kaisercraft Woodgrain Background; Hello Bluebird Joy & Peace
Die: Tim Holtz Sizzix Poinsettia

You are the Sweetest

Hey there. I  have a quick post to share a card inspired by the Pinkfresh Studio Challenge.

I stamped the images with inked up Delicata Gold Ink and coloured with Karin Markers and water.
I was inspired by the theme which is all about 'WREATHS'. I have used the pinks from the colours.
I chose to make my card CAS, so I used the gold frame instead of a full flower wreath.
Stamps: Pinkfresh Studio Blossoms & Berries

More Aussie Florals

I recently purchased a stamp from Hero Arts, which I 'had to have' the moment I saw it!

I stamped the image with Delicata Gold and then Coloured with Karin Markers, blended with Nuvo Glitter Gloss pen. There's lots of shimmer!  The die-cut was coloured with Altenew metallic paint.
Stamp: Hero Arts Eucalyptus Bold Print

I have a second card inspired by the colours at MFT Color Challenge...

I made a smooshed background, stamped some stars and fussy-cut them. Next I stamped more stars on the card and then placed the fussy-cut stars and sequins randomly.
To finish I stamped the sentiment and embossed with Silver-Pearl.
Stamps: MFT Stamps LJD Stars Above

NB: I apologise for the poor quality of the photo, but a Thunderstorm just started and the light is very strange.

The sentiment was stamped and Gold embossed on Vellum paper.
I die-cut the watercolour panel with a rectangle die.
Stamps: Penny Black Natures Gifts and Berry Branch ; Stampin Up Holly-Days

CAS COLOURS & SKETCHES # 448 DOUBLE CHALLENGE

Hello crafty friends! It's the fifth Tuesday of November so you know what that means: a Timeless Tuesday Double Challenge at CC&S! Joanne, our Host, has prepared a new colour combo using some of her favourite retired Stampin' Up colours and a sketch from one of our previous challenges.

I began by embossing the 'waves' with a die from MFT. Then I added a strip of patterned paper from Kaisercraft. I love the words on this paper, so I didn't add a sentiment.
Then I stamped, coloured and die-cut the lighthouse. To finish I stamped the seagulls and mounted the lighthouse with dimensional tape.

Stamps: Pretty Posh Pink Ahoy Matey
Die: MFT wave

I would love for you to visit our blog to see what the rest of the team have created and will feel inspired to join us in the challenge.

Peaceful Cabin

I'd quite like to be somewhere like this at Christmas!

I used Pink Fresh Inks, Zigs and Karin Markers to stamp this scene. I added some definition with Copic Sepia pen. The sentiment was stamped with Delicata Gold Ink. I then dry embossed the top part of the panel.
Stamps: Stampin Up Peaceful Cabin; Happy Holly-Days
Embossing Folder: SU Falling Snow
