Magnolia Love

Hello there! It's Magnolia season in Australia and although we don't have one, there are lots in our street, which makes me very happy:)

I made a card today, inspired by a new challenge and an old challenge...

I  created a matte by cutting a panel slightly smaller than the card base and die-cutting the side for some texture. I die-cut 2 flowers, keeping the pieces in for one and colouring with a damp brush and Zig Markers. The stem is coloured with sparkly silver Wink of Luna and I use this for the sentiment too. When the flower was dry, I highlighted the petals with clear Wink of Stellar.

Dies:- Alexandra Renke 'Two Magnolias'; Memory Box 'Pietra Tile'
Stamp: Penny Black 'Banner Sentiments'.

  3. What a dramatic card with the subtle texture in the background and that wonderful magnolia to catch the eye. Love this Jenny. We also have magnolias flowering 'this side of the ditch', and like you I love them.
