Dotty Butterfly

There's a new challenge at 'Less is More' and I was inspired to make this card...

I used a neglected stencil I've had forever, which came from a discount art/craft shop. I used blending brushes to colour the butterfly with Distress Inks. I then used a Fineliner to outline the dots.
I had thopught of outlining the butterfly, but decided the dots stood out more without the outline.  Just in case there weren't enough dots, I dry embossed the bottom edge of the card. The sentiment is from WPlus9.  The Distress Ink colours are Peacock Feathers & Blueprint Sketch.
I was so tempted to add sequins or splatter, but resisted to keep it CAS:)

Thanks for taking the time to visit my blog! I love to read your comments:)

  6. Gorgeous butterfly in beautiful colours. The embossed dotty circles are a lovely touch too. I'm pleased you didn't give in to temptation and add sequins as it's a super card just as it is. Thanks for sharing with us at Less is More.
