THE CARD CONCEPT #183 Pumpkin Party

Hi there Crafty Friends! Welcome to another challenge for The Card Concept. The theme is 'Pumpkin Party'.

I must confess, I only have one pumpkin stamp and we don't really celebrate Halloween or Harvest much in Australia. Of course it's not Harvest time in Australia, so my card was inspired by the colours and the patterns on the pumpkins to create a Mixed Media Card...

I used an old stamp set from a now defunct company to stamp and emboss in black and white. The background was coloured with Distress Inks and Brushos.
The sentiment is from Pinkfresh Studio.  I used dies from Spellbinders to cut the rectangles.

Remember, an inspiration photo is exactly that- a starting point for inspiration. Will it be the colours, the overall theme, the texture, the actual items and/or something else that will inspire your card?

I hope you'll visit The Card Concept Challenge Blog to see what the rest of the team has created and will be inspired to play along in the challenge with us.

Choose a design style (or combine styles), create a card, and in your blog post, let us know what inspired you from the photo, what style and/or styles you chose and don't forget to display our inspiration photo and link back to our challenge.

Thanks for taking the time to visit my blog! I love to read your comments:)

  1. That is such a good take on the inspiration photo. Your vibrant background looks fabulous against the black and white embossing and that frame adds just the right amount of additional interest. Great work xx

  2. A gorgeous background, Jenny! I love the white and black embossing!

  3. What a great use of the technique, and the flowers are stunning against the background. The frame really draws the eye into the sentiment. What an awesome card Jenny
