Altenew Inspiration Challenge

 Hi there crafty friends. I tidied my craft space today, well I moved things around, it doesn't really look tidier:) Anyway, I have a whole basket of cards which have never  previously been. shared, so I thought I'd post this card and send it over to the Altenew Challenge. 

Deepa Robbins is Guest Host at Altenew and has chosen a beautiful picture with a gorgeous colour combo.

I thought I'd add a sentiment, when I choose the recipient.

Time Out Challenge #241 Funny

 Hi there Crafty Friends. It's time for another  Time Out Challenge. This week the challenge prompt word is 'FUNNY', so I hope you have some fun with it!

This is an old stamp set from Darcie's Stamps. I coloured the image with Copic Markers. I used some patterned paper with subtle succulents to compliment the stamped image. To finish I embossed the white panel with Stampin Up Time Worn Type 3D Embossing Folder. 

We welcome  Claire Apostoloff of Life on the Scrap Heap this week as our Guest Designer.

The Card Concept #198 Summertime Fun

 Hey there Crafty Friends! A new challenge has begun at The Card Concept and I'm sure you'll be get lots of ideas from our inspiration photo. 

The background was stamped with Hero Arts Color Layering Waves and I used a Kaisercraft stamp to add texture to the sand. 

The top right cushion reminded me of a threatened species beach bird we have in Australia, called *Hooded Plover. The chicks are so cute. I used a die from Amazon, coloured with Karin Markers.

I was inspired by the picture and colours to create a Clean & Layered Water-colour Card.

Remember, an inspiration photo is a starting point for inspiration. Will it be the colours, the overall theme, the texture, the actual items and/or something else that will inspire your card?

Penny Black Saturday Challenge - ReminderJune '23

 It's the third Saturday of the month, so I'm here to remind you about this month's  Penny Black Saturday Challenge! 

Our theme is always Anything Goes or if you prefer the optional twist is to make a 'MASCULINE' card. This time I'm going with Anything Goes...

I coloured Penny Black's Vase Garden with a mix of Zig and Karin Markers. The vibrant yellow flowers make me happy!

Time Out Challenge #240 Sportive

 Hi there Crafty Friends. Welcome back Crafty Friends. It's time for a new Time Out Challenge. This week we challenge you to be 'SPORTIVE'. 

You can have some fun with this word. Read the definition below as it means more than simply being sporty. I leant towards 'being playful' and there's nothing cuter than a playful Panda, except maybe 5 Pandas!

I've used an old stamp set from The Ton Stamps for the Pandas, adding a touch of shading and detail with Copic Markers and then fussy cut.  In the background I stencilled some leaves (SSS stencil)in matching ink and splattered some Nuvo shimmer. The tree frame die is from Hello Bluebird.
