Penny Black Trees

Hello there. I finally got around to making a second card for the Twofer Card challenge! I made the first card a couple of weeks ago, when I was at our beach house and the sun was shining. Today it is overcast and cold, so I made a wintery themed card.

The first card is supposed to evoke an Australian Summer sunset and the second card is a Snowy scene from my memories of Christmas Scotland. I went for a walk one morning and saw the sunrise - it was just magical!
In case you are wondering I have used the same stamp for the tree on the right side of each card.

I used PB 'Peaceful Moment' for this card and the tree on the right is from PB 'Dressed in Snow'
The first stamp is quite narrow, so I extended the fence line using a black marker. The background was made with a combo of Distress inks and Peerless watercolours.

This time I stamped the PB 'Dressed in Snow' using Distress Inks and Zig Markers and then I clear embossed a couple of times to get a glossy 'pop' and texture. The sentiment, rabbit and squirrel are from Papertrey Ink and the deer is a die cut from Impression Obsessions. I masked and sponged the background  with Distress Oxides and then sprayed liberally for a watercolour effect.

I am entering the following challenges:-

In the Garden

  6. Wow, Jenny, you really brought that dressed in snow stamp to life on your Christmas card! I had to go find which tree it was, only to discover that it is the whole scene! Your beautiful background and the depth you got on those fir trees is amazing! And your glorious Australian sunset coloring on your hello card is spectacular! Who wouldn't long to be there and see that in person! Thank you so much for playing again in Twofer Card Challenge #6! Hugs, Darnell
