Dotty Dress

I have another One Layer 'Dotty' themed card inspired by 'Less is More'.

I used an old Stamping Bella stamp, designed by Jane Devonport.

I coloured the image with Zig Markers and added the dots with a white gel pen.

I'm sharing this card at the following:-

Autumn Leaves Penny Black

Hi there. Another week in 'iso' comes to an end! Actually, like most places, Australia is slowly getting things moving and many are coming out of hibernation. I am still planning to avoid shops and gatherings until we see if the lessening of restrictions is successful.

Here is a card I made with a stamp set I admired for quite a while, before deciding I needed to own it:)

I used Zig Markers and Gold Twinkling H2Os to stamp these gorgeous leaves.

I thought the sentiment was an ok match for the leaves because they do look so pretty with age!

Stamps:- Penny Black ' Nature's Gift and 'Birthday Love'.

Smooshed Birthday Card

I had a bit of fun making a smooshed background with Distress Inks and Cosmic Shimmer Powder to die-cut a sentiment for this card...

The sentiment die and sentiment stamp are from Winnie & Walter (who are sadly no longer around) and the ballon die is from Penny Black.

My card was inspired by the sketch at CAS(E) This Sketch.

5 Minute Card

I spent the morning tidying out my craft room (again!) and I put all my unused backgrounds in the box of cut-offs of patterned paper. Then I happened to see the sketch for CAS(E) this Sketch Challenge and new immediately what I could do!

This was made with a stencil and Brushos and was in my reject pile from an earlier challenge. I love the many different hues of blue that you get with the Brushos.  The sentiment is from a Woodies stamp that I picked up at a Paper shop.

Coffee Loving Card-makers Blog Hop

I noticed that there's a blog hop happening at Coffee Loving Card-makers and I haven't played there is a long time, so I broke out my fave coffee stamp set and made a card.

I used both of the stamp sets I have from The Greetery - 'Cozy Coffee' and 'Lemon Blossom'.
I used a combo of Altenew Inks and Memento Dye Inks.

Let's hope we do get to go out for coffee with our friends soon!

I'm sharing my card at the following:-

Where we live it's very chilly! Brrr! In fact it's felt like mid-Winter for the last couple of weeks. So here is another coffee card to suit how I feel...

I made this card at a retreat and sadly can't remember which brand the cute hedgie is from. The sentiment and coffee beans are from Stamplorations and window die from MFT.

Dotty Flower and Circles

I was very excited to receive some new stamps from Altenew and I couldn't wait to ink them up! Luckily I had an epiphany. I'll call it 'Faux Paper-Piecing'  and this card is the result...

I'll explain the steps I took in point form:-
*Make Negative and positive mask
*Stamp the flower on card
*Place mask over flower and stamp leaves
*Place negative mask over card & sponge yellow ink over flower
*Keep negative mask in place & stencil yellow dots
*Keep negative mask in place & stamp orange dots
*Stamp sentiment

The stamp set is Altenew Wallpaper Art and the dotty stamp is from Altenew.  Unfortunately I've lost the packaging for the stencil.

My next card was inspired by the theme at Simon Says Monday Challenge ..

I wanted to practise layering with my Daniel Smith Watercolours.   I used an old Prima Stamp set which has various sizes of circles and then moved the paint around with a wet brush quickly after stamping.
I stamped the butterfly from Penny Black using the same paints and Zig Markers.
The sentiment die is from Lawn Fawn. The Circle Stamps are actually stitched circles and you'll see them again soon in future cards. It's fun to get use out of old products

Here is one more card, inspired by CASology Challenge...

I sponged the clouds using Distress Inks and a home made stencil. The stamp set is CASual Fridays 'Some Bunny' and the images were coloured with Zig Markers.

Dotty Butterfly

There's a new challenge at 'Less is More' and I was inspired to make this card...

I used a neglected stencil I've had forever, which came from a discount art/craft shop. I used blending brushes to colour the butterfly with Distress Inks. I then used a Fineliner to outline the dots.
I had thopught of outlining the butterfly, but decided the dots stood out more without the outline.  Just in case there weren't enough dots, I dry embossed the bottom edge of the card. The sentiment is from WPlus9.  The Distress Ink colours are Peacock Feathers & Blueprint Sketch.
I was so tempted to add sequins or splatter, but resisted to keep it CAS:)

Twofer Daisies

Hey! This is a very quick post because the Twofer deadline is close and my daughter needs to use my laptop!

So I pulled out one of my favourite Stamploration's  sets called 'Flower Sketches' and  made two cheery cards for the the Twofer Card Challenge.  made the first card in monochrome for The Flower Challenge. I used a combination of Altenew Inks, Distress Inks and Zig Markers. The sentiment on the blue card is from another Stamplorations set and the the sentiment on the second card is from The Greetery 'Cozy Cup'.

Black & White Floral

Another week has passed and many more cards have been made! This one was inspired by the monochrome theme at The Flower Challenge.

I was experimenting with embossing vellum with a stylus. The rose is from Clearly Besotted Happy Everything. The card-stock is metallic black, which made it a bit tricky to photograph. The sentiment is from Altenew.  I used roller adeshive and it didn't seen to show through on the dark card-stock.
