One Last Altenew Card for '22

Hello there Crafty Friends. I thought I'd sneak in one more card for the Altenew Year in Review Inspiration Challenge.

This card was inspired by the the January Challenge, using products I received when I had the opportunity to take part in an Altenew bloghop, due to being one of the winners of the April challenge.
I love this embossing folder because it reminds me of pressed tin. The floral die set is also gorgeous and the leaves can also be used in so many projects.
Die: Altenew Open Peony
Embossing Folder: Altenew Intricate Tiles
Stamp: Altenew One-Go Birthday Greetings

I am also taking part in the Altenew Year in Review Instagram hop - there are prizes to be one, so check it out!
These were the 4 cards I picked as my favourite Altenew creations ...

Altenew A Year in Review Challenge

Hello there Crafty Friends! I hope you all had a Fabulous & Festive Christmas with family and friends. Sadly I was isolating with the dreaded Covid, but I've been taking the Anti-virals and I'm not too bad. I went for a lovely walk in the sunshine and then binged on Christmas movies.

I haven't made any new cards for a few weeks now and my Mojo has has taken a dive with Covid, but I need to get back to it soon.  In the meantime here is a card I made, but didn't share, inspired by the September Altenew Challenge.

I used the beautiful Altenew Blossom and Bloom Stamp Set, coloured with Altenew Artist watercolor 24 pan set, fussy cut. The base card was embossed with the equally gorgeous Altenew Organic Linen Embossing Folder.

CASE ME A CHRISTMAS CARD '22

I am delighted to be joining my friend Michelle Lupton again this year in her Christmas Card series.

This is the how it works;  Michelle  will CASE one of her guest's cards, and we will CASE one of hers! CASE stands for Copy And Share Everything - but it's not about just copying a card. It's about getting inspiration from card-making friends and making a new card with our own twist.  And, of course, the card has to be a Christmas card!

I chose one of Michelle's CAS cards as my inspiration.

I love this happy critter from MFT and the stamp set is perfect for making a CAS design.

Here is Michelle's adorable card...

I hope you'll pop over to
Michelle's blog and see which of my cards she's 'CASE-d' and also check out her other creations as she is so talented!

52 CHRISTMAS CARD THROWDOWN THEME CHALLENGE

Hi Crafty Friends.  The third week of the month is always a theme challenge at 52CCT and Gill, our host, has chosen 'SNOWFLAKES' as the theme. I bet you'l have fun with that!

I had fun making this Mixed Media Card which also uses part of an old Christmas Cracker.

I started with a sheet of metal, which was swiped with black Stazon and then added some clear Versamark in places, sprinkling with coloured Embossing powders and setting with heat gun. The snowflake was die cut from and old cracker and is a gorgeous brushed silver paper.
Die: Memory Box
Stamp: Penny Black Stamps

The Card Concept #185 Christmas Greetings

Hi there Crafty Friends! It's time for another challenge for The Card Concept. The theme is 'Christmas Greetings'.

I was inspired by the greenery on the door and the colours to make a 'Clean & Layered' card.

I used a very old embossing folder for the brick background. The I die-cut the red panel from a watercolour background. The foliage was coloured with Karin markers.

Remember, an inspiration photo is exactly that- a starting point for inspiration. Will it be the colours, the overall theme, the texture, the actual items and/or something else that will inspire your card?

I hope you'll visit The Card Concept Challenge Blog to see what the rest of the team has created and will be inspired to play along in the challenge with us.

Choose a design style (or combine styles), create a card, and in your blog post, let us know what inspired you from the photo, what style and/or styles you chose and don't forget to display our inspiration photo and link back to our challenge.

I'm sharing my card at Time Out Challenge where the theme is 'Winter or Holiday Season'.

Alcohol Inks and Altenew

Hello there! Just popping in to share a card I made inspired by the lovely Autumn photo Tenia chose for the Altenew Inspiration Challenge

I used the same Embossing Folder as last time, cut a window to showcase the pretty Alcohol inks and stamped leaves. I also used a new Hotfoil Plate and die for the sentiment.

EF: Altenew Gem Pattern 3D
Stamps: Altenew Leaf Clusters
Hotfoil Plate: Altenew Sweet Sentiments

52 CHRISTMAS CARD THROWDOWN (TECHNIQUE NOV'22)

It's the last challenge of the month at 52 CCT challenge and our host Fabiola, wants us to  use 'STENCILS' on our Christmas cards for the Technique Challenge.

I mentioned in my last post about purchasing a gorgeous stamp/stencil/hotfoil/die co-ordinating set from Pinkfresh Studio. This time I used the Hotfoil Plates and Stencil to create a CAS Mixed Media card.

I embossed the card base with my favourite Stampin Up Embossing Folder.
The Ornaments were foiled with Spellbinders Black Foil. Although it's hard to see in the photo, it is very pretty. I used Pinkfresh Studio inks to colour them, using the stencil and an Altenew Blending Tool. The foliage is made with a Tim Holtz die and randomly embossed with gold ink.  The sentiment is stamped, gold embossed and die-cut.

I hope you'll visit the 52 Christmas Card Throwdown blog to see what the rest of the team and our talented guest, Trina created with these colours and then be inspired to join in the challenge!

Pinkfresh Studio Ornaments

Hi there Friends! I recently splashed out and bought the whole co-ordinating et of Pinkfresh Studio Ornaments. So I had some fun last weekend making some Christmas cards. Here is the first of those cards...

I used an alcohol Ink background from my stash and layered the stamped ornaments and sentiment. I only used the stamp and dies on this card, preferring to colour with Karin Markers and blend with Nuvo Glitter gloss pen. The trickiest part of this card was tie the thread to the branch - I was all thumbs!

THE CARD CONCEPT #184A/B Thanksgiving or Merry Christmas

Hi there Crafty Friends! It's time for the second challenge challenge of the month at The Card Concept

For those of you who are new to our challenge, every two weeks we will post our inspiration photo challenge and hope that you will join us by creating a card for our challenge gallery.

We are starting something new this year- the second challenge of every month, we are posting two challenge photos!  You can choose whichever photo you prefer, or you could create two separate cards, one for each photo!

I was inspired by the pretty Christmas Tree and decorations in the 2nd photo as well as the colours, to create a Clean and Layered card.

I used a pretty Memory Box Die to create this Christmas card. I coloured the sky with Altenew Watercolour paint and embossed the 'sow' with a Stampin Up EF. The sentiment is from Hello Bluebird.
