Karin Markers Colors Contest (Feb '22)

Hi there. I discovered the Karin Markers challenge on Instagram and was inspired to make a couple of cards with their chosen colours.

I stamped the butterflies with Karin Markers and blended on the page with an Aquabrush. I also touched up a bit with the marker to add depth. I randomly added some black highlights.
I actually had to do this twice, because I smudged the ink when I was trimming! So I decided to fussy cut the large butterfly and layer it to make it 3d.
Stamps: Penny Black Trio of Butterflies
Karin Brushmarker Pro - Lipstick Red, Cerise, Pale Pink
Arches Watercolour Paper Hot Press
The pink looks a bit orange when diluted:(

This time I used a die from MFT - cutting it in black and Baohong Watercolour paper.
I coloured with the same markers and spritzed with water. When dry I constructed the hearrt. I then added the white border with the die in place to keep it even.
Die: MFT Geometric Heart
Sentiment Stampin Up

The pink looks a bit orange when diluted:(

I'm sharing at the following challenges:-

  3. Two beautiful cards, I love the depth of colour. I feel for you smudging the ink, that is the sort of thing that happens to me. Well recovered though xx
