52 Christmas Card Throwdown Technique Mar ‘22

It's the last 52 CCT challenge for March and our host Lucinda wants us to  include a  'Moving Part’  on or cards for the Technique Challenge.

The
Stamps  and dies are from Simon Says Stamp and I’ve used Distress Inks and Zig Markets to colour the images. The snow was stamped and white embossed with a stamp from Hello Bluebird.

I hope you'll visit the 52 Christmas Card Throwdown blog to see what the rest of the team created with these colours and then be inspired to join in the challenge!

Birthday Fishes

Hi there. I'm just popping in to share a card inspired by Seize the Birthday Challenge.

I pulled out one of the gorgeous Memory Box Frame dies and made a wash for the background. The fish is a Dina Wakely stamp and the sentiment is from Stampin Up.

Card for Ukraine

Hi there I'm sharing a card today inspired by all the wonderful card-markers out in Instagram and the Blogosphere in support of Ukraine.  My heart goes out to the people of Ukraine and I hope the suffering and devastation will be brought to a swift end!

Watercolour wash made with Daniel Smith Watercolours, Cosmic Simmer Pixie Powder and Nuvo Shimmer Powder. The same materials were used to colour this extraordinary Sunflower stamp from Penny Black. The sentiment is from my left over  Christmas stash box.

Big Blooms and a "CASE-d" Bouquet

Hi there Friends! It's finally less humid in Melbourne, so I had more energy to craft today. I was inspired by the beautiful photo at Altenew Inspiration Challenge, where Therese Calvird is hosting and I've also 'CASE-d' a gorgeous card at Global Design Project.

I used the amazing stamps and co-ordinating stencils from Altenew Beautiful Day. I used the stencil for shading and then smoothed it out with a wet brush. I used Altenew Watercolour paints for the leaves and have since been using them a lot, despite having recently investing in more Daniel Smith WC.  I used Karin Markers for the stamen.

**************************************************

I used a Tim Holtz Die for the background with textured kraft card. The bouquet of flowers is made with Stampin Up Wrapped Bouquet.

I'm also sharing my bouquet card at the following:-

Happy Birthday to a great Challenge!

PENNY BLACK SATURDAY CHALLENGE MAR '22

It's the first Saturday of the month, which means it's time for a new Penny Black Saturday Challenge

Our theme is always Anything Goes or if you prefer the optional twist is *BRIGHT COLOURS*.

I stamped the image with Gina K Jet Black and coloured with Prismacolor Pencils.
I was planning to use my new FB Polychromos, but they didn't seem to blend so well on the Kraft paper.
Stamp: Penny Black Alluring Arrangement
The prize for this challenge is as always, provided by our generous sponsor

52CCT CHALLENGE (MARCH'22 SKETCH)

Hi Crafty Friends.  Lucinda is our host for March at 52 Christmas Card Throwdown Challenge. The first challenge of the month is always a sketch challenge.  Here Lucinda's fun sketch for this month. I 'm sure you'll like it and hope you join us!

I decided to go white on white for the background, making ski slopes and added some cute snowmen from Hello Bluebird stamps. I coloured them with Copic Markers, which I haven't done much of lately as I desperately need to invest in lots of refills!

I hope you'll visit the 52 Christmas Card Throwdown blog to see what our fabulous  Design Team have created with this sketch. Looking forward to seeing your cards in the gallery:)
