52 CHRISTMAS CARD THROWDOWN TECHNIQUE MAY ‘22

It's the last 52 CCT challenge for May and our host Tracy has given a great technique to try for the Technique Challenge. Triple Time Stamping was a new Technique for me and I did struggle to find the right stamps, but now I want to try it again:)

I followed the video tutorial, which is listed on the 52CCT blog using stamps from Papertrey Ink. I wish I'd made the matte panels smaller, but I hope I'll improve on this technique next time.

I hope you'll visit the 52 Christmas Card Throwdown blog to see what the rest of the team created with these colours and then be inspired to join in the challenge!

Altenew Florals

I'm back to share a couple of cards I made, inspired by Altenew May Inspiration Challenge.

I also challenged myself to use new products and step outside my comfort zone.

I recently purchased the embossing folder and  usually I would make a CAS card with a white background, so I decided to make the first card still CAS but using black and the second a Mixed Media.
The flowers in the first card are made with the co-ordinating Hill Blossoms stencil and die and the second card features the very old, but beautiful  Magnolias for Her stamp set.

Thanks for taking the time to visit my blog! I love to read your comments:)

Another CASE

Hi there. Im playing along with Global Design Project again this week. I can never resist a 'CASE' challenge. In fact I ended up making 2 cards!

I used my very fave shimmer powders to create the backgrounds and colour the flowers.
Stamps: SU Hand-Penned Petals, Artistically Inked, Friends are Like Seashells
Dies: SU Artistically Inked ; MFT Scalloped Oval Frame

52 CHRISTMAS CARD THROWDOWN (MAY THEME )

Hi there Crafty Friends. It's time for the 3rd challenge of the May at 52CCT with Tracy as our host.  She wants us to include a  Nativity scene on our  Christmas card.

I have used my one and only Nativity stamp and embossed the image with Ranger Liquid Platinum EP.
I lightly stamped some Christmas in the background. I then sponged with Distress Ink, leaving the space above the crib, which I water-coloured.
Stamps: Stampendous Nativity, Memory Box Background Script, Kaisercraft Sentiment.
Die: PB Rectangle

I hope you'll visit the 52 Christmas Card Throwdown blog to see what our wonderful Guest Designer, Cornelia and the rest of the team created with this theme and will then be inspired to join in the challenge!

Milestone Birthday Cards and Pretty Florals

Hi their Crafty Friends! I've been a bit quiet here on the blog, but I've still been crafting in the background. Today I'm sharing some cards inspired by a few challenges.

I used a gorgeous stamp and co-ordinating stencil set from Pinkfresh Studio to create this first card.
I'm definitely sold on these type of products! I usually watercolour images, but the stencils make it so easy to sponge the colours and it's so quick!
I die-cut the window, creating the matte and used very old chipboard stickers for the number.
The image was coloured with distress Oxide Inks and then I re-stamped to get a stronger outline.

Stamp/Stencils: Pinkfresh Studio Delicate Floral Print; Newton's Nook Sentiment

Next I wanted to make a CAS card and used Spellbinder Dies, coloured with Copic Markers.
I am pretty chuffed with the result.

I stamped and coloured the flower and butterfly with Karin and Zig Markers. The white panel was embossed with a die.
Stamps: SU Hydrangea Haven, SU Butterfly Brilliance

I'm sharing at the following challenges:-

Card 1

Card 2

Card 3

52 CHRISTMAS CARD THROWDOWN COLOUR challenge may '22

Hi Crafty Friends.  Tracy is our host for May at 52 Christmas Card Throwdown Challenge.

The second challenge of the month is always a  colour challenge.  Tracy has chosen the following colours for us this month ...

I recently had a weekend of crafting with my friend Jenny Dix, who is on the Stamping Bella DT, so I got to play with all the SB stamps. I thought this one was perfect for this week's colour combo.
The image was coloured with Prismacolor Pencils.
Stamp: Stamping Bella Teeney Tiny Townie wit a Fruitcake

I hope you'll visit the 52 Christmas Card Throwdown blog to see what our fabulous  Design Team and our talented Guest Designer, Chrissie, have created with this sketch. Looking forward to seeing your cards in the gallery:)

PENNY BLACK SATURDAY CHALLENGE MAY '22

Well hello there! It's the first Saturday of the month, so we have a new challenge at Penny Black Saturday Challenge. This month our theme is 'ANYTHING GOES' or Optional: 'NATURE'.

I created a garden scene using some fun dies - PB Ladder and Hanging Planters.
I created the brick background with an Embossing Folder and swiped some Antique Linen Distress Ink over the raised section to give a rustic look. I coloured the plant dies with Zig Markers and used patterned paper for the ladder and grass.

I hope you have some time this weekend to enjoy Nature!

The prize for this challenge is provided by our generous sponsor

Prize - $20 voucher!

If you'd like to be considered for a guest designer spot for a future challenge, please add 'GDT' after your name on the link-up...and remember to check back to see if you've been chosen!

You can see more inspiration from our talented Guest Designer, Loll from Stamping with Loll and the rest of the DT at our blog. I hope you have the opportunity to join in our challenge.

Watercolour Play

Hi there! I watched a video from @creationceecee and decided to make my own watercolour blobs using the colours from Global Design Project.

The background is very subtle, so I decided to stamp a bold image. I also added a splatter of my fave new W&N Gold Ink.
Stamp set: Stampin Up Nature's Harvest
Die: Penny Black Antique Frame

52 CHRISTMAS CARD THROWDOWN may '22 SKETCH

Hi Crafty Friends.  Tracey is our host for April at 52 Christmas Card Throwdown Challenge. The first challenge of the month is always a sketch challenge.  Here is Tracey's sketch for this month. I thought this sketch was a perfect opportunity to use some patterned paper. I hope you'll join us!

I think the paper is from Kaisercraft, as is the wooden sentiment. The die for the gorgeous foliage is from Simon Says stamp.
I hope you like my rustic take on the sketch:)

You can stretch this out, or use different shapes, as long as we can see the basic sketch in your card.

I hope you'll visit the 52 Christmas Card Throwdown blog to see what our fabulous  Design Team have created with this sketch. Looking forward to seeing your cards in the gallery:)
