Embossed Waxed Paper Resist Technique

Hi there Crafty Friends! I recently watched Gina K video tutorial using Wax Paper,  Embossing Folders and an iron. It looked like fun, so today I gave it a try.

I made a Twofer because I put the Wax Paper inside a folded card to get 2 resist panels. I used the full panel on one card and a die-cut frame on the other.

My starting point was the Altenew Inspiration Challenge which features gorgeous, colourful Autumn leaves. I incorporated the colours and leaves in my cards, but I must admit they look more like Summer than Fall:)
This is the Embossing Folder I used...

So this card features the EF twice - once to emboss the white card and secondly for the emboss resist frame. I used Distress Inks and Altenew Blending tools. The bird was coloured with Altenew 24 pan Artist Watercolour Paints. As I was constructing the card, I decided to make it a Shaker just for fun!

I wanted to show more of the emboss resist pattern, so for this card I added a slim border and the white on black embossed leaves and sentiment.

Supplies used:
Altenew Floating Foliage EF
Altenew Parrot Paradise Stamp Set
Altenew Leaf Canopy Stamp Set
Altenew Leaf Clusters Stamp Set

Mama Elephant Scallop Frame Die
