Graceful Flowers

Hi there Crafty Friends! I made this card today using the gorgeous stamp set from SSS August Kit. I was inspired by the colours in The Flower Challenge, but sadly missed the deadline.

I stamped the floral image with delicate golden glitz ink on cold pressed watercolor paper and coloured with Alene Watercolour Paints and Daniel Smith Watercolours.
stamp: SSS Graceful Flowers
EF: Spellbinders Tufted

Fave Altenew Stencil

Hi there Crafty Friends!

Today I was playing with new goodies from SSS, but I rejected most of my efforts. So instead I'm sharing a card I made a couple of months ago. It's a similar layout as this card, which was one of the winners at Altenew. This one is more CAS and I think it looks totally different with the white background.

The white panel is dry embossed and the flowers are stencilled and die-cut.
Products used:- Altenew's Hill Blossom Stencil & die set, Altenew Fancy Hello,
Altenew 3D Gem Pattern EF

Alcohol Ink Hummingbird

Hi there Crafty Friends! I recently purchased my very first kit from Simon Says Stamp. I love all the beautiful products included in the August kit. Today I made a card with the Hummingbird die and the gorgeous Embossing Folder from the kit

I rummaged through my stash of Alcohol Ink backgrounds and then die-cut the bird.
I decided to keep it simple and keep the background white.
Die: SSS Exquisite Hummingbird Die
EF: SSS Blossom Swag
Stamp: SSS Graceful Flowers (sentiment)
Other: Couture Creation Alcohol Inks, Art Spectrum Pearl Yupo SSS  Sequins

Whittle Cats

Hi there Crafty Friends! I've just returned from a visit with my Daughter, her Boyfriend and 2 cats. This is a card I made for her Birthday, featuring her 2 Fur-babies!

I did my best to colour the Poppystamps kitties
to look like my Daughters cats.
I paired the cats with some beautiful patterned paper from Kaisercraft.

I decorated the inside of the card as well...

or
'FLOWERS'

I told you I would have more postage themed cards to share!

Some Old Makes

Hi there Crafty Friends! It's time to show you a few previously made, but not shared cards.

To begin, I made some smooshed backgrounds with Distresss Oxide Inks and Cosmic Shimmer Powder.  Then I die-cut the blue panel with Poppystamps Pinpoint Rings. Next I die-cut the fish with Poppystamps Large Lovely Koi.
The sentiments are from Poppystamps Whittle Sealife Sentiments Stamp Set.
I decided it would be fun to make a tag with the leftover bits.

I'm sharing at the following challenges:-

Distress Oxide/Cosmic Shimmer Powder/Stamping/Die-cuting/bling

Isn't this a fab stamp from Hello Bluebird. It's called 'By the Beach'.
I added the chair and bird from an old Inspired by Stamping set.

I coloured it with Copic Markers, but they needed re-inking and I didn't have the refills, so it's a bit patchy!

Hey there Crafty Friends! It's the first Saturday of the month, so we have a new Penny Black Saturday Challenge up on the blog.

Our theme this month is 'ANYTHING GOES or the optional twist 'FLOWERS'

Next I stamped the flower with Karin Markers, blending with water on the stamp.
The stamp image was part of a freebie set.
I also stamped some script in the background for added interest.

TIME OUT CHALLENGE #269 Inspired By Words: “It’s always summer somewhere.” — Lily Pulitzer

Hi there Crafty Friends. It's time for another challenge  at Time Out Challenge. This week we want you to be inspired by these words ...   “It’s always summer somewhere.” — Lily Pulitzer.

This inspired me to think about what I would do if it was Summer here. At the moment it's very cold and breezy in Melbourne, Australia and I'm escaping to Queensland for some warmer weather.

I've used products from lots of companies and lots of different teqhniques.
The embossed background uses an embossing folder from Memory Box
The stamped background in the 'insta photo' is using a Hero Arts background stamp. The rest of the stamps are from Stamping Bella and the frame die a magazine freebie.

We are joined by Betty Keefe of created by bjkas Guest Designer. You can see her gorgeous card
and more inspiration from our fabulous DT at the TIME OUT CHALLENGE blog.
I hope you have the opportunity to join in our challenge.
