Stencil & Pearls

Hello again:) I have another card to share today. I originally made this card for the CAS Stencil Challenge, but decided it wasn't CAS enough.

I started with a piece of coloured card stock, sponged Versamark Ink through a stencil and then brushed various colours of Pearl-Ex over the ink. Next I sealed it by spritzing with water, followed by a Fixative spray.  Then stencil is from ARTplorations, called 'Bloom Factory'. The flower die is from Memory Box and the sentiment is from STAMPlorations.

One Layer Flower & Spots

Hi there. I've been admiring a stamp I've seen a lot in 'the blogasphere' - it's from Visible Images and is called 'Creative Chaos'.   I got to play with it the other day at a friend's place and have now added it to my craft wishlist :) It's a great stamp for Mixed Media, but today I've used it in a CAS One Layer card.

I coloured the flowers with Zig Markers and added lots of Wink of Stellar, so it's very shimmery.
The sentiment is from Altenew.
I added some more spots with splatter:)

I'm really looking forward to making more cards with this stamp set.

Wine O'Clock?

Hi there. I had fun playing with a 'new to me' stamp set. I can see many possibilities with this set:)

I used various colours of Zig Markers to colour the images and the bottle and glass have been fussy-cut and mounted with dimensional tape.  This stamp set from Simon Says Stamp is called 'Time for Wine'.

Another Bee Twofer & some pics

This is my second entry for this month's Twofer Card Challenge. I mentioned in my last entry, that I only had one bee stamp available as I've been  staying at our beach house. Well I went back home to check on the progress of renovations at home and whilst I was there I found another 🐝  stamp:)

I had a lot of fun creating these 2 cards.

The bee is from WPlus9 C'est La Vie stamp set and the sentiment dies are from Concord & 9th 'Just Because' Die set. I'm not sure of the brand for the embossing folder. The bees and die-cuts were coloured with Zig Markers and I added shimmer to wings with Wink of Stellar.

I stamped the flowers from Stamplorations Blossom Overture Bloom Sketches and coloured with my trusty Zig Markers. I blended with clear Wink of Stellar. The oval die frame is from MFT/Dienamics.
Once again I used the WPLUS9 bee and was very proud of my fussy cutting efforts.

Here are some pics I took on my afternoon walk after a day and a half of rain.

I feel very blessed to be able to call this place my second home 🏡 :)

Stencil with Pearls

Hi there. I hope you're having a beautiful day, wherever you may be!

I'm sharing a card for the the CAS Stencil Challenge. The theme is to use Perfect Pearls/Pearl-ex with a stencil. I was also inspired by the theme at CAS Mix Up Challenge, which is Ombre.

The stencil is from Penny Black. I sponged Versamark ink through the stencil and then using a brush, I coloured the image with a mixture of Pearl-Ex powders. I then set it with a Fixitive spray.  The sentiment is from Concornd & 9th.

Inspired by Lyndal

Hi there. I'm making a Summer themed card on a very rainy day here in Queenscliff (Australia).

I was inspired by the pic for this month's Fusion Card Challenge and by Lyndal's card, which I saw her create, when we had a crafty weekend last month. Lyndal is an expert at paper-piecing, so I thought I'd give it a go.

I stamped the Combi on Kaisercraft paper and again on white card, then fussy cut and pieced it together. The palm trees were stamped, coloured with Zig Markers and fussy cut. I then die cut the window and stamped the background and sentiment. The Combi & palm trees are from Avery Elle. The wave & sentiment are from The Ton Stamps.

Blue Rose

It's mid-month inspiration time for the CAS Watercolour Challenge and I've used another old Stamplorations stamp to make this card...

I stamped the gorgeous rose from Stamplorations 'Blossom Overture' and coloured with Zig Markers.
The sentiment is from Just Right Stamps and stamped with Gold Delicata ink.
I used Arches cold press paper, which is beautiful and smooth.

You still have until 24 June to play along, so head over to the CAS Watercolour to see more inspiration and add your card to the gallery.

Floral Background

Can you believe it's mid June already! It's true what they say, the older you get, the faster time passes!

It's mid challenge reminder for the Penny Black Saturday Challenge. As always, you can choose to do ANYTHING GOES or the go with the optional theme, which is *PARTIAL STAMPING*.
(Either by inking only part of your stamp, or by stamping off the edge of your project)

I stamped the flowers from Penny Black 'Vase Garden' around the edge of the card to create a background.  I'm not too sure about the colours, they're a bit bold, but hopefully they'll brighten your day:) I coloured with Zig Markers and blended with Cleat Wink of Stellar, so it's very shimmery!
The sentiment is from Clearly Besotted.

You'll see more inspiration from our talented Design Team at the Penny Black Saturday Challenge blog and we'd love to see your creations.  You could win $25 from our fab sponsor 1-2-3 Stiutch and if you are interested in a chance to be Guest Designer, remember to add GDT after your name.

A Twofer Buzz

The theme this month at Twofer Card Challenge is *BEES*. I'm staying at our beach house at the moment with limited supplies and this is the only bee stamp I could find.

The bees and cute bear are from Wplus9 Curious Forest Friends. The  flowers are from Stamplorations Folk Flowers, a stamp set designed by my talented friend Shirley Bampton.

I had fun getting all inky with the first card, smooshing Distress Inks and then fussy cutting. The sentiment is from Penny Black.

The second card is very CAS.  I stamped the bear twice and fussy cut the head and mounted it with dimensional tape. The window die is from MFT/Dienamics.

Altenew Bouquet

Hi there.  Just sharing a card I made, inspired by the Altenew June Challenge.

I made my own bouquet using one of my fave Altenew stamp sets 'Painted Flowers' and Zig Markers. I just used the outline and then used an aquabrush to fill out the bloom and added the stems freeform.
The sentiment is from Stamplorations.

Ombre Mixed Media

Hi there. I am very excited  because the renovation of our kitchen begins next week and I'll staying at our beach house with the dogs, to avoid the noise and mess:) So hopefully I'll be crafting to my hearts content!!!

Here is a card inspired by the theme at CAS Mix Up Challenge.

You need to look closely, but I used a Stamplorations stencil to create this ombre background. I sponged Distress Ink,  spritzed, then used a baby wipe to remove some of the colour and add depth.
The floral die is from Memory Box, the frame die from Stamplorations and the sentiment stamp is from Inspired by Stamping.
