Another Vase of Flowers & A Shadow Box Card

I'm back to share another couple of cards.

A funny thing happened with this card. I stamped the clock with Versamark and was planning to emboss it, but the ink pad was dirty and it ended up a subtle blue! Serendipity! I stamped the florals and vase with black ink, coloured with Zigs and die cut.
The sentiment was stamped with the same Zig and I spritzed it to make it more like watercolour.
To finish I added some embossing and bling and then mounted it on a kraft card base.
Stamps:Tim Holtz Flower Jar; Clearly Besotted sentiment
Die: Tim Holtz Flower Jar

I'm sharing at the following Challenges:-

My next card is inspired by the theme at 52 Christmas Card Throwdown, which is 'Fancy Folds'. I'm really challenged when it comes to anything fiddly, so I went for an easy option this time...
I watched a video by Jennifer McGuire and used various dies and stamps to create the scene.
Stamps: Paper Rose Tree Background; Kaisercraft sentiment
Dies: MFT Oval Frame; Uniquely Creative Stitched Rolling Hills; Memory Box Evergreen Landscape
Embossing Folder: Stampin Up Falling Snow

Feather Sketch

Hello there.  It's the second day of shops and cafes etc being open in Melbourne, but I'm not going out unless it's necessary for a week or so.  Just being extra careful.  So I had a productive day of card-making.

This card is inspired by the CAS Colour & Sketch Challenge

The feathers were stamped with Altenew Inks in pretty muted shades.
The sentiment was stamped with Delicata Gold Ink.
I embossed the panel with a rectangle die and trimmed it with a small border, which makes it bigger than if it was die-cut.

Stamps: WPlus9 Fanciful Feathers
Die: Cutplorations Stitched Rectangle

Another Jar of Botanicals

Hi there! Well we have reason to celebrate in Melbourne today! We recorded zero new cases & zero deaths! We will be able to get back to a 'Covid Normal' this week and we'll even be able to get to our holiday home in a couple of weeks! I can't wait to see our extended family and the littlies who were babies when we saw them last, but are nearly toddlers now! We'll have to be very restrained to not cuddle them:(

Now, on to my card! I had so much fun making the silhouette cards on the weekend, I decided to make another one with the colours for the current CAS Colours & Sketches Challenge.

I stamped the images with Altenew and Distress Inks.  I used Faded Jeans for the vase as well, but embossed with Silver Pearl EP on Vellum, which gave it a softer look.  I used a canvas card for to bow and sentiment.  The white panel was embossed, instead of cut with a rectangle die.  The base card is called Curious Skin (Stone) - it is a lovely warm neutral.

Hanging Planter & Colour Challenge

I was inspired to make another card for the Time Out Challenge, because I really like photo inspiration.

I've had these hanging basket dies for quite a while and this is the first card I've completed using the dies.
I stamped and white embossed the pattern on the left and softened the edges of the kraft panel, by swiping ink and embossing.  The sentiment was also white embossed.
I coloured the die-cuts with Zig Markers and Cosmic Shimmer Powder.
Stamps: Kaisercraft diamond pattern; CASual Friday sentiment
Dies: The Greetery Macra-Made For You, Macra-Made Fillers

My next card was inspired by the colours at Color Throwdown.

I thought it was time to have fun with the Altenew Metallic Watercolour Paints.

They are really beautiful,  creamy and gorgeous colours. I did use a bit of Twinkling H2Os as well. The paper is Canson Acrylic.
Stamp: Altenew Magnolia's for Her
Die: Poppy Stamps Gentle Leaf

Another Silhouette Twofer

Just popping in to share another couple of cards inspired by this month's Twofer Challenge.

I stamped the Silhouette stamps with Altenew Inks in different shades for each card and different occasions.

This card was also inspired by the colours of the current Altenew Inspiration challenge.
I used twine for the bow and the jar from the same set.
Stamps: Altenew Garden Silhouettes; Newton's Nook sentiment
Die: Clearly Besotted

This time I used the jar stamp from Tim Holtz with the twine die-cut from a co-ordinating die.

Circles and Flowers

I made another card today for the Flower Challenge. They are celebrating their 4th Birthday and have lots of prizes on offer.

I tried to think of a subtle way to add circles and decided to emboss lots of circles using dies and cutting the centre circle. I'm not sure if it did end up subtle, but I used the same stamp as yesterday to make this card.

The flower and leaves were stamped with Delicata Gold Ink and the image was coloured with Twinkling H2Os.  It looks different from yesterdays card, because I used normal cardstock, instead of watercolour paper. I left the leaves un-coloured to make the card more CAS. Then I added some more leaves cut from champagne glitter paper.
Stamps: Altenew Beauty Within, Label Love
Dies: Lil Inkers Stitched Circles; Tim Holtz Sizzix Wildflower Stems 1

New Stamp Set

I  recently received a gorgeous new stamp set from Altenew, so I made another card for the current Inspiration Challenge.

The flowers and leaves were stamped on watercolour paper, coloured with Twinkling H2Os and fussy cut.
I then arranged over the die-cut and base card.
Stamps: Altenew: Beauty Within, Magnolia For Her
Die: Altenew Leaf

A quick post before I go to bed.

Blue & Orange and Another Sweater

I remember when we used 'Complementary Colours' as the theme at CAS Watercolour, I loved all the cards using Blue and Orange, so I am happy to see the colour combo at Color Hues this month.

I stamped Butterfly with Zig Marker (Deep Blue) and Distress Oxide (Broken China) to vary the hue.
I then stamped again with Versamark and clear embossed.
Then I used a Zig Marker and wet brush to add the orange and then sprinkled with Brushos. The butterfly was fussy cut.  I stamped the Catre Postale text with Distress Ink (Blueprint Sketch) adding some hoghlights with the Zig Marker.  The white panel was embossed with a square die and trimmed to fit the blue card base.  I added the orange splatter for an artsy look.
Stamps: Kaisercraft Pen & Ink; Paper Rose Carte Postale
Die: Kaisercraft

and here is another Christmas Sweater card...
This is a very simple card. I love red and white, Scandi style Christmas cards, so this time I die cut the sweater in white and coloured the decorative bits with red Copic marker.  I layered it with foam tape (which helped with sticking the bits back in) on the embossed background.
The diecut sentiment was coloured to match and I added the twine for fun.
Dies: Kaisercraft Sweater; Penny Black sentiment
Embossing Folder: We R Memories

Plaid Coffee Cup

There's a couple of challenges asking for 'plaid', so I made this CAS card...

I used some patterned paper from my scraps box to paper piece the coffee mug.
I stamped the coffee bean with gold innk and there a bit hard to see in the pic, but look good IRL.
Stamps: Stamplorations Sketched Coffee Cup
Die: MFT

Twofer Silhouettes

I finally got around to making a pair of  cards for the current Twofer Card Challenge.

I used an old set from WPlus9 for both cards.

I sponged the edges of of a piece of white card with Twisted Citron DO and Peeled Paint DI.
Next I  stamped the leaves with Twisted Citron DO and then VersaFine Clair Nocturne.
I then stamped the butterfly twice, heat embossed and fussy cut.  I got an unwanted black blob in the wrong spot, but was luckily able to fix the problem by using the frame:)
Stamps: WPlus9 Autumn Leaves; Kaisercraft Fly Free; Clearly Besotted sentiment
Die: Mama Elephant Framed Tags Madison Ave

This time I went monochrome using my favourite Altenew ink set - Tranquility.
Yes these colours are tranquil, so I made this a sympathy card.
Stamps: WPlus9 Autumn Leaves; Hero Arts Prayers.

I'm sharing my cards at the following:-
