Altenew Inspiration Challenge Oct (#3)

Hi there Crafty Friends. It's been a very wet week yet again and I'm feeling very sorry for the people in flood affected areas. I've been spending a lot of time crafting due to the rainy weather and I've been busy with DT commitments. I just realised I forgot to share this card, which was actually the 1st I made for the Altenew Inspiration Challenge.

I've used 2 of my fave Altenew stamp sets and Altenew Artist Watercolor 24 pan set to create this watercolour card.

Thanks for taking the time to visit my blog! I love to read your comments:)

Altenew Inspiration Challenge Oct #2

Hello there. I'm sharing another card for the Altenew Inspiration Challenge.

The flowers were stamped and heat embossed and coloured with Karin Markers. I don't have the die for this stamp, so I used my Scan'n'Cut for the first time in awhile. The background is white embossed and coloured with Nuvo Shimmer Powder.

Stamps: Altenew White Swan Echinacea, Geometric Botany, One-Go Birthday Greetings

I'm sharing my card at the following challenges:-

The Card Concept #182A/B Harvest Bounty &/or Christmas Joy

Hi there Crafty Friends! It's time for the second challenge challenge of the month at The Card Concept

For those of you who are new to our challenge, every two weeks we will post our inspiration photo challenge and hope that you will join us by creating a card for our challenge gallery.

We are starting something new this year- the second challenge of every month, we are posting two challenge photos!  You can choose whichever photo you prefer, or you could create two separate cards, one for each photo!

I couldn't decide, so I made 2 cards...

I stamped and coloured (with stencils) the SSS Poinsettia and Sprigs images a few months ago when a friend was visiting and we crafted together. This is her set and I think I 'need' it for myself now:) The sentiment is from Hello Bluebird and was coloured with Copics. The embossing folder, from Stampin Up,  is one of my favourites.
Stamps: SSS Holiday Sprigs;  Hello Bluebird Peace & Joy
Stencil: SSS Holiday Sprigs
Embossing Folder: Stampin Up
Scan'n'Cut used to cut images

I was inspired by the 'JOY' sign and colours to make this 'Clean and Layered' card.

**************************************

I used stamp sets, with some masking and fussy cutting for the crate of fruit. I die-cut the sunburst from an Alcohol Ink background.  The crate was stamped on the woodgrain paper and the fruit was stamped and blended with Karin Markers. The sentiment was stamped with Delicata Gold Ink.

Stamps: Stamplorations  (Dee's Artsy Impressions)Life is Sweeter, Healing Herbs
W&W sentiment
Embossing Folder: Stampin Up
Die: borrowed from my friend and I'm not sure of the brand

I was inspired by the crate of fruit in the photo to create my 2nd 'Clean & Layered' card.

We hope this new option will be one that you enjoy as much as we do. Our Designers will let you know which one they decided as well.

Remember, an inspiration photo is exactly that- a starting point for inspiration. Will it be the colours, the overall theme, the texture, the actual items and/or something else that will inspire your card?

I hope you'll visit The Card Concept Challenge Blog to see what the rest of the team has created and will be inspired to play along in the challenge with us.

Choose a design style (or combine styles), create a card, and in your blog post, let us know what inspired you from the photo, what style and/or styles you chose and don't forget to display our inspiration photo and link back to our challenge :-)

Prayers & Hugs Coming Your Way

Hi there! Just popping in to share a card I made for Shery for the Cancer Awareness/Friendship theme at Time Out Challenge. Shery, from Stamplorations,  has been fighting a cancer battle this year. She is always on my mind and I want to send her lots of hugs and  positive vibes as well as keeping her in my Prayers.

I used a beautiful stamp, designed by Shery. I used Daniel Smith Watercolours. I then masked the image and stencilled the background and finished by stamping the sentiment.

Altenew Inspiration Challenge

There's another gorgeous photo to inspire us at the Altenew Challenge this month. I've made several cards and I'm sharing this one which, which showcases a 'new to me' stamp set.

I has felt like Spring the for the last couple of days, despite the flooding in a large part of our State.

The image was stamped and gold embossed and coloured with Altenew 36 pan Watercolour Paints.
I used a shimmery green card for the background.

Native Flora Christmas

Hi there. I'm back with another one of my weekend makes. This time I was inspired by the theme at The Flower Challenge. The prompt is to add a sentiment. I used a background stamp which has lots of sentiments and added another! They are also celebrating their 6th Birthday, so I'll be back with a birthday card soo.  Congrats on 6 fabulous years of wonderful inspiration Aileen & team!!!

I seem to have a lot of 'snow' theme Christmas cards in my stash, so I'm on a mission to make more cards appropriate for Australian recipients!

The background was stamped with white ink and and embossed with Ranger Princess Gold EP. The floral image was embossed with Ranger Gold (super Fine Detail) and coloured with Daniel Smith Watercolours.

Stamps: Paper Rose Studio Thanks a Bunch; MFT Christmas Greetings,
I think from memory the sentiment is from Hello Bluebird

New Stencil Challenge

Hi there! I hope you all had a crafty weekend! I made a card for a new challenge called Stencil Fun Challenge.  It's Anything Goes with an optional twist to use Halloween Colours.

Well I think these colours count for Halloween - green and purple.
First I sponged Altenew ink over the 'Grid' stencil. Next I stamped, coloured and fussy-cut the beautiful floral from Altenew Pen Sketched Flowers.

Hi Crafty Friends.  The third week of the month is always a theme challenge at 52CCT and Majda , our host, has chosen 'CHRISTMAS CRITTERS' as the theme.
