Stencils and Stamps

Hi Crafty Friends! Life has definitely been getting in the way of crafting lately, but I have LOT of cards, I've previously made but not shared, so here goes...

Ive combined a relatively new Altenew Stencil with a very old stamp set to create this floral card. The Altenew Blending tools make it so easy - I really love them!

Stencil:-Altenew Meadow Burst
Stamps: Altenew Vintage Flowers
Die:- Spellbinders Venise Lace Hemstitch Die

I'm sharing this card at the following challenges:-

Ands because this is the first time I've used this stencil..

Here is another card for AAA Birthday...
This card's been sitting in my box of 'cards to share' for ages and this is the perfect time to share it!
Stamps: Colorado Craft Anita Jeram Birthday Wishing
Die : Stamplorations (used to emboss)

Time out Challenge # 239 (Photo Inspiration)

Welcome back Crafty Friends. It's time for a new Time Out Challenge and this week we want you to be inspired by a photo.  There are so many fun elements to inspire you in this photo, but I went really simple and chose to make a CAS card using a pineapple stamp.

See! I told you it was CAS! I was taken by the metallic pineapple. I don't have rose gold ink, so I compromised with Delicata Golden Glitz Ink.  Is there a Rose Gold Ink? It's hard to get a good pic of metallic colours, but I wanted to show the shimmer, so please excuse the brightness.
Stamp: Concord & 9th Pop Art Pineapple

This winner of our challenge will win a $25 credit from our generous sponsor - Picket Fence Studios and will also have the chance to be Guest Designer in a future challenge.

Our incredibly talented Guest Designer this week is Joyce from Cards by the Sea

You can see more inspiration from our  fabulous DT at the TIME OUT CHALLENGES blog.
I hope you have the opportunity to join in our challenge.

The Card Concept #1(Patriotic Picnic)

Hey there Crafty Friends! I'm a bit late to share, but better late than never! A new challenge started yesterday at The Card Concept and The picture and colours should give you lots of scope!

I was definitely inspired by the colours, patterns  and the vase of flowers to create a Clean & Layered card.

I used a gorgeous stamp/die set from Pinkfresh Studio for the florals, a Hello Bluebird background stamp and some yummy designer paper from Kaisercraft.

Remember, an inspiration photo is a starting point for inspiration. Will it be the colours, the overall theme, the texture, the actual items and/or something else that will inspire your card?

I hope you'll visit The Card Concept Challenge Blog to see what the rest of the team has created and will be inspired to play along in the challenge with us.

Choose a design style (or combine styles), create a card, and in your blog post, let us know what inspired you from the photo, what style and/or styles you chose and don't forget to display our inspiration photo and link back to our challenge :-)

Brights & Pastels

Hi there Crafty Friends! It's been a bit quiet on the card-making front of late as I've had visits from an old friend and my Daughter, so I've been out and about enjoying Autumn.

Today I managed to make a couple of cards for my fave challenges.

I'm a bit obsessed with Altenew's Hill Blossom Stencil & die set. I decided these colours would pop with a black background and broke it up with the white layers. I've also used the Hummingbird from Altenew Dazzling Dahlias and a sentiment from Label Love.

 ******************************************
I've used softer colours for my next card, to fit the theme at The Flower Challenge..

The images were coloured with watered down Nuvo Shimmer Powder and I splattered a bit of ink on the
de-bossed card front.
Stamps: Altenew Botanical Illustrations, Dazzling Dahlias
Embossing Folder: Altenew Intricate Tiles

I'm also sharing my card at the following:-

Happy Birthday to Brenda and Team

Altenew Inspiration Challenge May '

Happy Saturday! Today I'm sharing a card I made with the gorgeous Altenew Craft Your Life Project Kit : 'MAGNOLIA & BLOOMS' and a few other Altenew products.

I stamped the image with Gold Ink, then used Altenew Dye Inks, stencils and blending tool to colour the flowers.
Next I dry embossed
and then die-cut the image and placed it on an embossed background. To finish I added the beautiful bold sentiment and attached everything to a kraft card.

Supplies used: Altenew Craft Your Life Project Kit : 'MAGNOLIA & BLOOMS', Altenew Organic Linen EF, Altenew Fancy Enjoy Die.

I'm entering my card in Altenew Inspiration Challenge:-

Do yourself a favour and pop over to the Altenew blog to checkout Jaycee's incredible card!

ETA: Yay my card was one of the winners!

TIME OUT CHALLENGE #238

Hi there Crafty Friends. It's time for another  Time Out Challenge. This week we want you to be Inspired  by the Words: “Dare to love yourself as if you were a rainbow with gold at both ends.” ~ Aberjhani

Remember this is just a starting point - You can be inspired by just one word, several words or the whole quote.

I chose to make a nonconventional rainbow with gold, pink and purple and added an encouraging sentiment.

I used Taylored Expressions 'Over the Rainbow' kit to create my card.

This week we have the very talented Greta Hess of GG Creations joining us as Guest Designer.

This winner of our challenge will win a $15 credit from our generous sponsor - Varada Sharma and will also have the chance to be Guest Designer in a future challenge.

THE CARD CONCEPT #195a/b Floral Spring or Garden Birds

Hi there Crafty Friends! It's time for a double  choice challenge at The Card Concept which means we post 2 photos and you can choose which photo you prefer, or you could create two separate cards, one for each photo!

I was inspired by the napkin and table cloth in the first photo to make a Clean & Layered Card.

The gingham background was made with a stamp from Hello Bluebird. The Stampers Anonymous flowers and leaves were stamped randomly and coloured with Copic Markers.
To finish, I added a bold sentiment from Altenew.

Remember, an inspiration photo is exactly that- a starting point for inspiration.

Penny Black Saturday Challenge

Hi there Crafty Friends! It's the first Saturday of the month so it's time for a new Penny Black Saturday Challenge.

Our theme is always Anything Goes or if you prefer the optional twist is to use 'PATTERNED PAPER'.

I decided to use from pretty paper to create a scene.

I've used Penny Black Dies and the 'LOVABLE' Stamp Set.  I coloured it with Prismacolor Pencils to match the paper. The background was embosed with and EF and coloured with Distress Inks.

The prize for this challenge is as always, provided by our generous sponsor

If you'd like to be considered for a guest designer spot for a future challenge, please add 'GDT' after your name on the link-up...and remember to check back to see if you've been chosen!

You can see more inspiration from our talented  Guest Designer, Bonnie from Stamping with Klass and the rest of the DT at our blog. I hope you are inspired and have the opportunity to join in our challenge.

A is for Automobile.

This is the theme for the current Less is More Challenge. I thought it would be fun to make a couple of Masculine birthday cards...

It was a great opportunity to use Spellbinders Open Road die set for the first time. Thedie cuts were coloured with Copic Markers. I kept it super CAS.

I found this VW Camper stamp in my old and rarely used stamps box and paired it with The Ton Stamps Wave stamp set.

I'm sharing my cards at the following challenges:-
