More Artsy Fun

Hi there:) I just had a bit of a play with no plans today. I just realised I've used the same colours on all 3 cards, so I'm posting them together.

This card was inspired by 'Less is More'. This is another stamp that is everywhere in blogland, so it's hard to be original, but I tried! I stamped the grungy stripes using an old Hero Arts stamp and Zig Markers.  I then stamped the Visible Image flower  and fussy cut for a paper-piecing effect. I added a couple more splats over the scribble image and  splattered some blue and green ink.

I was inspired by the 'Silhouette' theme at Addicted to CAS Challenge. I used Brushos for the background.
The thistle image is from Altenew and the other stamp is from The Greetery.
The rectangle die is from MFT and the sentiment from SSS.

I used another Hero Arts stamp for the background. The square frame is from MFT, the Dragonfly die from Penny Black and the sentiment is from Altenew. I used Zig Markers again.

Altenew Inspiration Challenge

I loved the photo inspiration for this month's Altenew Challenge, so here's another card...

This flower stamp from Altenew 'Pen Sketched Florals' is my new fave! I coloured it with Copics and Silver Wink of Stellar . The corner die is from  Tim Holtz. The sentiment is from Altenew 'Thinking of You'.

Lest we Forget

I decided I should make a couple of Poppy themed cards, because it's close to *Anzac Day. Then I saw that Fusion Card challenge had a challenge theme just perfect for this project.

I have used Penny Black  Poppy Edger die (51-507), which was coloured with Zigs and Brushos.
The background stamp is a very oldie, also from Penny Black. It was heat embossed with white powder and then painted with Gold Dust H2Os. I swiped Distress Stain on the edge of the embossed panel. The sentiment is from Kaisercraft and the buttefrly die is my fave from Penny Black.

This is a gorgeous background stamp from Hero Arts. I used Zig Markers and Distress Inks to colour the stamp, spritzed and stamped. I added the colour to the Poppies on the page. The die cut sentiment is from Simon Says. I added some black enamel accents to the centre of the poppies.

Anzac Day is a national day of remembrance in Australia and New Zealand that broadly commemorates all Australians and New Zealanders "who served and died in all wars, conflicts, and peacekeeping operations" and "the contribution and suffering of all those who have served". Wikipedia

Hummingbird Flutter

Here's another card inspired by the 'Less is More' challenge.

I coloured the gorgeous Hummingbird and Petunias from Pretty Pink Posh with Copic Markers. I coloured and die-cut the bird twice and layered the tail feathers to give the impression of movement.
A big shout out to Darnell who generously gifted me the dies after previously seeing my fussy cut birds:)

Butterfly in Motion

I really enjoyed making this card, because it took me back to an artsy style I used a lot in the past.

The butterfly stamp is from Darkroom Door, the sentiment from Altenew and the dotty background from Kaisercraft.  I used Zig Markers for all my stamping and a bit of Acrylic Ink for the drips.

Stamping Fun

Here is another card inspired by Altenew's Inspiration Challenge. I was also inspired by Creations Ceecee, but where she doodles I used stamps.

I used Twinkling H2Os for the colour swatches and images from Altenews 'Garden Grow' &'Garden Silhouette'. I've added some detail with white gel pen, which sadly is drying out. (It's difficult & costly to get replacements in Australia for some things at the moment).

Koala Christmas

I'm finally getting around to sharing some cards I made whilst I was staying at our beach house. This one was using a cute stamp from Inspired by Stamping.

I embossed the frame with a die from MFT. The image was coloured with Zig Markers. The sentiment is from Kaisercaft.

I've used all Kaisercraft products for this card, except the embossing folder which is from Stampin Up.

When Life Gives You Lemons

So I thought it was about time I inked up this beautiful stamp set from The Greetery, which I just had to have 6 months ago:)

I used a mixture of Altenew Inks and Zig Markers. The stamp set is called 'Lemon Blossom' and the sentiment is from Stamplorations. The rectangle die is also from Stamplorations.

I had fun making this and think I may make another card with this set soon.

I'm sharing my card at the following:-
