Autumn Leaves with Brushos

Hello there Crafty Friends! I felt like playing with Brushos today and I'm sharing one of the cards I completed.

I die-cut the leaves from a smooshed background made with Brushos. I stamped some script behind the leaves in gold and inked the edges of the die-cut panel.
Dies: Stampin Up Forever Fern; Penny Black Antique Frame; Lawn Fawn Celebrate
Stamp: Kaisercraft

Hydrangea

Hi there. I saw the photo inspiration at Just us Girls Challenge and thought it was time to make a few Hydrangea cards.  Here are a couple of those cards...

I stamped the image with Karin Markers (again!) and blended with a brush. Although I have the dies, I actually fussy-cut this - not sure why?
The small white panel was embossed with a die.

This time I die-cut the flower head from a smooshed background and then added more highlights with Zig markers. The die-cut flower stem was inked and embossed and then I fussy-cut the backing. The flowers border is made from the same set. The background was embossed with SU Subtle embossing folder.
To finish I added all the pearls, stamped the sentiment and adhered to a black card base.

CAS Dragonfly & Washi Leaves

Hi again. Just a quick post to share a couple of cards I forgot to post.

Gina K Challenge wants us to have fun with ink cubes. Last time I swiped the ink cubes across the page, this time I just made a CAS design.  It didn't look finished until I added the splatter.
Stamps: Gina K Beautiful Wings, Autumn Silhouettes

Poppy Stamps want us to use Washi Tape on our cards. I used Washi tape for the leaves.
I love this cute Hedgie die!  I dry embossed the background card for a bit more interest.
Dies: Poppy Stamps Hedgehog, Adriana Border
Stamps: Simon Says Stamp
EF: Stampin Up

New Altenew Stamps

Hey there! I inked up my new (to me) Altenew stamps and had fun creating lots of cards today. Here is one of them, inspired by this moths challenge.

I used a mix of Karin Markers, Zig Markers and Distress Oxide Ink to stamp the images, blending on the stamp with a brush.

52 Christmas Card Challenge (Sep Stash)

The fourth Saturday of each month at 52 Christmas Card Throwdown is either a Stash or Technique challenge.

Rosi, our host has gone for Stash this month and she wants to see '2 types of  Washi Tape' on our Christmas Cards.

I stamped the image with Karin Markers on the trees and black ink on the snowman.  The snowman and bird were coloured with Zig Markers.  I used the Washi as a border on the black card and then a snippet under the snowflake to balance the card.

Stamps: Stampendous Snowman, Colorado Crafts Wonderful Time

I hope you'll visit the 52 Christmas Card Throwdown blog to see what the rest of the team created with this theme and then be inspired to join in the challenge!

Pink & Purple

Hi there.  Another quick post to share this card I made inspired by the colours at Color Hues Challenge.

I've been very thrifty in the making of this card, using mostly off-cuts from my scrap box.
For example if I make a mistake when stamping or making a background, I throw the piece in to the box to use the reverse side or for die-cuts.
I made the watercolour wash with a mix of Daniel Smith/ Nuvo Shimmer Powder and Altenew Paints.
The Butterfly was stamped and coloured with Zig Marker, blending with Nuvo Glitter Gloss Pen.

Stamp: Kaisercraft Ooh La La
Dies: Stampin Up Artistic,  SSS word dies

Black, White and Pink

Hi there. Just popping in to share a card inspired by the theme at Global Design Project. I just love black and white with a splash of colour - it always look so classy I think.

I die cut the foliage and butterfly and coloured some with Nuvo Shimmer Powder (Cherry Bomb) and Karin Marker. I used an old wood mount stamp for the script behind the stems. They were attached with a touch of glue and the Washi Tape. The white panel was dry embossed and die-cut.
Stamps: Stampin Up Wrapped Bouquet ; Script stamp unknown
Dies: Stampin Up Meadow Stems; Spellbinders Frame
Embossing Folder: Stampin Up Subtle

52 CHRISTMAS CARD THROWDOWN (SEPTEMBER THEME )

Hi there Crafty Friends. It's time for the 3rd challenge of the September at 52CCT with Rosi  as our host.  She has given us a really fun theme  *IN A JAR*.  I really enjoyed making this card!

The bear and trees were coloured with Zig markers and fussy-cut.
I stamped the snowflakes and sentiment and then arranged these elements to fit in the jar.
Next I stamped the jar on the front panel, which was then dry embossed and the window die-cut for the plastic shaker.
Stamps: Hello Bluebird Frosty Friends; Penny Black sentiment
Die: Jillibean Soup Mason Jar
Embossing Folder: Stampin Up   Falling Snow

I hope you'll visit the 52 Christmas Card Throwdown blog to see what the rest of the team created with these colours and then be inspired to join in the challenge!

Seize the Birthday - Surprise Guest #4

Hello there Crafty Friends! I'm back again with my 2nd card as Surprise Guest at Seize the Birthday Challenge. The theme for this challenge is 'FAUX or REAL STITCHING' but the themes are always optional, so you can enter any card, as long as it's a Birthday Card.

I  included some real stitching in the centre of the rose. I chose the Pinpoint background, because it's like stitching without the thread:)
The dies are from various Altenew die sets. I have them all mixed together, so I'm not sure of the name of the sets.  I die-cut the flower from a smooshed background. The leaves were coloured with Karin Markers and Cosmic Shimmer Powder.
Dies: Altenew Flowers; Memory Box Pinpoint Leaf Plate
Stamp: Inspired by Stamping (sadly no longer around)

I hope you'll visit  Seize The Birthday blog for some more fabulous inspiration from the design team and then join in the challenge with us.

I'm also entering the following challenges:-

CAS Mix Up September 21 Reminder)

It's time to remind you about this month's CAS Mix Up Challenge.   Leslie is our host and it's a Watercolour Challenge, with the prompt  'Autumn Colours'. That should give you plenty of scope.  Please be sure to make water-colouring the main element of your card and keep your designs Clean and Simple.

I used the same stamps as last time, but this time I stamped with Distress Oxide and embossed with Distress Embossing Glaze. Then I coloured the leaves with Zigs and water.
I scored the border on the left for a bit of interest and arranged the fussy-cut leaves and die-cut sentiment.
Stamps: Stampers Anonymous Nature's Wonder
Die: Lawnfawn

(Mikey's Mom)

You can find more inspiration from our talented Guest Designer, Ros (Mikey's Mom), and the rest of the team over on the CAS Mix Up Blog and we hope you'll be inspired to join the challenge.
