Seize the Birthday #307 - Fancy Fold

Hi there Crafty Friends! It's time for another Seize The Birthday Challenge.

Barb is our host for this challenge and she wants us to include a 'FANCY FOLD' on our Birthday Card.   If you are not in to our "toppings" option, you can make any kind of  Birthday Card.

I am very challenged by these types of cards, possibly because I have a problem with adhesives and fiddly things:) But I own a fun box card die from Lawn Fawn, so here is my attempt at Fancy Fold.

The pretty paper is from my unfinished stash and the stamp set is MFT Otterly Love You. I actually deconstructed an old card to get the stamped Otters. I used a MFT Die for the waves. The sentiment is from Altenew.

You can see more from our own talented Surprise Party Guest and the rest of the team at  Seize the Birthday Challenge blog.

I hope you'll find time to join us. Remember, the topping is optional, so if you prefer Anything Goes, that's fine,  so long as it's birthday themed.

Thanks for taking the time to visit my blog! I love to read your comments:)

Do Storms Ever Stop?

Just another quick post before I go to bed...

I made this card a while ago, but hadn't share it, so I'm entering it in Allsorts Challenge, where the optional theme is 'RAIN'.

I used a NBUS Stencil set for the clouds and rain. The fabulous sentiment is from Colorado Craft and the bunny is an old MFT stamp.

Favourite Flower

Hi there! I have nearly completed all my DT cards for this year so I was able to make some cards for my fave challenges this week 😍.

Every year I look forward to our Bearded Irises flowering in our garden and the photo inspiration at Altenew made me think of them. We've got a few months before Spring in Australia, but I can always add an Iris to my cards!

I used both Karin and Zig Markers for the flower and Distress Oxide for the stencilled hearts.
Stamp: Altenew Enchanted Iris
Dies: Penny Black Rectangle, Simon Says Stamp Sentiment
Stencil: MFT Hearts

A Christmas Gift

Here's a card inspired by the photo inspiration at Less is More Challenge...

A very CAS card using mostly dies.  I used a MFT die to emboss the frame and I've forgotten the brand for the gift and bow.

More Aussie Florals

I recently purchased a stamp from Hero Arts, which I 'had to have' the moment I saw it!

I stamped the image with Delicata Gold and then Coloured with Karin Markers, blended with Nuvo Glitter Gloss pen. There's lots of shimmer!  The die-cut was coloured with Altenew metallic paint.
Stamp: Hero Arts Eucalyptus Bold Print

Gold, Red, Green

Hand-stamped image

I have a second card inspired by the colours at MFT Color Challenge...

I made a smooshed background, stamped some stars and fussy-cut them. Next I stamped more stars on the card and then placed the fussy-cut stars and sequins randomly.
To finish I stamped the sentiment and embossed with Silver-Pearl.
Stamps: MFT Stamps LJD Stars Above

NB: I apologise for the poor quality of the photo, but a Thunderstorm just started and the light is very strange.

Hi Crafty Friends.  Gill is our host for November at 52 Christmas Card Throwdown Challenge.

Well this was an easy one, once I'd decided to make the trees my rainbow. They were coloured with Karin Markers.
I made all my cards month's ago and forgot to record the products, so I'm sorry I can't remember the brand for the sentiment stamp.
Dies: Trees from Alexandra Renke; Deer from Impression Obsession; Snow Border MFT

I hope you'll visit the 52 Christmas Card Throwdown blog to see what our fabulous  Guest Designer, Klara and the rest of our Design Team have created with these colours.  Looking forward to seeing your cards in the gallery:)

Sketch Challenge & More Chalkboard

I haven't played in a MFT challenge for a long time, so I made a couple of cards inspired by the current sketch, which is quite unique.

I cut 2 squares of Kaisercraft DP with an MFT die. Next I stamped and die-cut the wreath. To finish I stamped the sentiment and added a few sequins.

Stamps & Die: MFT Spring Wreath

This time I used the MFT die to emboss the 2 squares, and make a CAS background.  I stamped the images with Memento ink and coloured with Copic Markers.

I'm sharing at the following challenges:-

Also, don't forget about our challenge at CAS Mix Up is embossing with dies. There are videos on the blog to help you with the technique.

Now I have another Chalkboard card to share...

I stamped the sentiment and other images and white embossed. Originally I was goping to add a cupcake, but the decided If it was me, a cocktail would be more exciting:)
The image was coloured with pastel pencils, which is like chalk.  To finish, I sponged some white ink around the edges.
Stamps: Just Right (sentiment); Newton's Nook 'Cocktail Mixer'; Kaisercraft (corner detail)

I'm very excited and honoured to be Guest Star Stamper at the Color Throwdown in their current challenge.

Platypus

This is one of a collection of stamps I recently purchased from Lesia Zgharda Stamps. The stencil was a surprise gift from a my generous friend Loll.

I stamped the image and clear embossed with Zig Markers. The embossing added a bit of texture.
I used Distress Oxide Inks with the stencils.
