A Rose and Sea Urchins

Taking a break from Christmas cards, I made a couple of CAS cards, one of them using a NBUS stamp.

I stamped and coloured the image with Zig Markers and then fussy cut. The background was made with a dotty background stamp, which has recently become a favourite.
Stamps: Lesia Zghardia 'Coral'; Kaisercraft  'Dotty Background'; The Greetery 'Lemon Blossom'.

Again I stamped the image and coloured with Zig Markers and fussy cut. I stamped the same background stamp and added some splatter.

Stamps: Stamplorations 'Blossom Overture'; Kaisercraft 'Dotty Background'

Snowman Christmas

I really am on a roll! Here's another Christmas card inspired by the theme at Christmas Card Throwdown.

I stamped the stitched frame, made a  mask and then stamped the snowman. I coloured the image with Copic Markers and Nuvo Shimmer Gloss Pen.  Then I decided to go bold wit the sentiment.
Stamps: Prima Stitched Circles; Stampendous 'Snowman'; Hero Arts (sentiment).

Mixed Media Christmas

I'm still on a Christmas Card kick. I'm not sure why, but I'll keep going while I'm inspired.

I die cut foliage with Tim Holtz dies, inked them and embossed with various powders,
I wanted to have a window card,  to put the snow behind the acetate, but it's not really a shaker, it's just to give more depth. I added the bird fore some cuteness:)

Stamp: Kaisercraft
Dies: Tim  Holtz (Sizzix) -'Mini Holiday Greens'
                                                         Elizabeth 'Lovebirds'
Embossing Powders: Recollections Vintage Mint, Ranger Bridal Tinsel &                                                                            Distress Embossing Glaze (Cracked Pistachio)

Gnome for Christmas and Polar Bear

It's officially 6 months until Christmas! I suspect it will be very different this year, but that's even more reason to make and send more cards!

I love this stamp set! You can mix and match the elements to make the gnome with various expressions and accessories.
Stamps: Apple Blossom 'Christmas Gnomes'
Dies: SSS 'Birch Tree Window'
Cutplorations 'Stiched Rectangle'
PP: Kaisercraft

Faux Stitching for me

My next card is using a new(ish) stamp which I thought would be great for Masculine cards.

I combined the Polar Bear stamp with the Penny Black mountains.

Stamps: Lesia Zghada Stamps 'Polar Bear'; Penny Black 'Season's Marvel'; Inspired by Stamping (sentiment)

Lotus Love

I'm very out of practice with Copic Markers, so I thought I'd have a play with them. However I have quite a lot of markers, but very few refills and a lot of my markers are dry. So I better start saving my pennys or should I say dollars!

The stamp sets I have used are both from Stamplorations - 'Lotus Love' & 'Trendy Feathers'.

CAS Poinsettia

I'm still in Christmas in July mode and this is another one layer card...

The poinsettia stamp is a magazine freebie and the sentiment is from Kaisercraft.
I stamped the flowers several times with Delicata Gold Glitz ink to get lots of shimmer and some tiny berries dots with Liquid Pearls.

Magnolia Frenzy and More

Hi there! I hope you're keeping warm, or cool, depending where you live. It was very here chilly today. Our neighbour's Magnolia tree is full of buds and is getting ready to flower. IIt is the nicest Magnolia in our area and I'm so happy we get to enjoy it too:)

Hi

I'm very happy with the colours of this magnolia.  This is a Penny Black Brushstroke stamp. I used Zig Markers and blended on the stamp and on the card.  I used the Antique Fame die and sponged the edges to get a vintage feel.
Stamps: Penny Black 'The Unfolding', 'Banner Sentiments'.

This stamp set is from The Ton Stamps.  I silver embossed the image and coloured with Zigs again and silver Wink of Stella. The colours are a bit softer this time.
The sentiment and butterfly are from Clearly Besotted and the frame die is from MFT.

I used the same stamp for this card and blended the zigs with a Nuvo Shimmer Gloss pen and used patterned paper in the background.  The frame die is from Mama Elephant.

My next card is inspired by the sketch at Case this Sketch Challenge. I decided to use some of my coveted Japanese paper.

I made a couple of strips with white card and Gold Delicata Ink. The Alexandra Renke butterfly was coloured with Zigs and I placed a touch of gold thread under the butterfly.

Mixed Media Butterflies

Here is another pair of butterfly cards I made on the weekend

I couldn't resist making a Twofer with one of my fave Penny Black Stamps.

I used an Altenew cover plate to emboss the leaf background and then coloured with a blue wash and covered with Nuvo Glacier Paste. The Butterfly was coloured with Zig Markers and fussy cut.  I stamped and white embossed the sentiment on vellum. To finish I added some red and pink splatter on the background and a touch of bling.
Stamps: Penny Black 'Trio of Butterflies'; Altenew 'Leaf Clusters'
Cover Plate: Altenew 'Striped Leaf'

This time I stamped the butterfly with gold ink and made a mask to stamp the dotty background and some vintage images and sponge around the edge.  I used Zigs again to colour the butterfly and add some splatter.
The base card was covered with patterned paper.
Definitely not my usual colours, but very sunny!
Stamps: Penny Black 'Trio of Butterflies'; Prima (Vintage stamps); Kaisercraft (Dotty Background'
Die: Lawnfawn 'Celebrate'
