52 CHRISTMAS CARD THROWDOWN (OCTOBER SKETCH)

Hi Crafty Friends.  Majda is our host for October at 52 Christmas Card Throwdown Challenge.

The first challenge of the month is always a sketch challenge.  Here Majda's sketch for this month. I 'm sure you'll like it and hope you join us!

I decided on Mixed Media  layered stencilling to create my card.

First of all I made a smooshed background with Distress Oxide Ink on natural cardstock.

Then I used 3 different stencils and more shades of blue ink and also some splatter.

Next I stamped the bird, colouring with co-ordinating colours and fussy-cut.  The sentiment was stamped on natural cardstock. I then constructed the card, adding the die-cut twig frame and pearls.

Stamps: Penny Black Robin, Avery Elle Christmas Florals

Stencils: Tim Holtz, Kaisercraft & Uniquely Creative

I hope you'll visit the 52 Christmas Card Throwdown blog to see what our fabulous  Design Team have created with this sketch. Looking forward to seeing your cards in the gallery:)
Thanks for taking the time to visit my blog! I love to read your comments:)
