Today I decided to make a card with a kit I purchased years ago from Papertrey Ink. I was enticed by all the beautiful cards made by the DT. I previously made lots of cards for gifts, using the cut-outs that came with the kit. However, I was never happy with my attempts to stamp the flowers on the die-cut.
I made many more attempts today and this was the result...
The reason I found it so difficult, was because it's tricky to line up all images. I mostly got it right this time, but I think I'll probably just use the frames and sentiments in the future.
I used textured card-stock and found Distress Oxide Inks gave the best impression.
I was inspired to make this card because the theme at The Flower Challenge is to include a shape.
It's their 5th Birthday this month and they haves prizes, so pop on over to their blog and join the fun!
Glad you persevered Jenny as this is a striking contemporary designed card x.
ReplyDeleteLove the vibrant colours used against the dark background on this stunning card Jenny. A result worth persevering for.

Well, I'm happy you kept at it because this card is just so beautiful.
ReplyDeleteI know it can be tricky to position the stamp image on a die-cut but your perseverance paid off.
Thank you for sharing your card with us at THE FLOWER CHALLENGE.
Stay healthy and safe.
