Penny Black Saturday Challenge - Reminder

It's time to give you more inspiration for the current Penny Black Saturday Challenge, where the theme is:

'Anything Goes'
with an optional twist to 'use some scraps'.

I used one of my favourite dies from Penny Black -  the 'Iris'. The scraps are from Kaisercraft 'Hanami Garden' Paper Pad along with a spare bow that's been sitting on my desk for a few weeks.
I've realised I don't have many Penny Black sentiment stamps and I had to cut up a sentiment from the aptly named 'Sentimental' stamp set to fit my design. The butterflies are made from tiny heart dies, using MFT Stitched Heart Grid die.

I hope you have the opportunity to join in this month's challenge and check out the rest of the inspiration from out Design Team here.

As always the usual RULES apply, please make sure that the MAIN FOCUS OF YOUR PROJECT is one of the following: PENNY BLACK IMAGE, PENNY BLACK LARGE SENTIMENT, PENNY BLACK  DIE OR PENNY BLACK STICKEROO.
New work only please and link back to the Penny Black Saturday Challenge in your blog post. You may enter our challenge as many times as you like, and there is no limit on how many challenges you may combine with ours.

The challenge will close at 8pm (GMT) on Friday 2nd March.

The prize for this challenge is provided by our generous sponsor:

Prize - $20 voucher!
Since I had more hearts leftover, I decided to make another fun card to go with some flowers for my daughter, who arrived back from her 1st solo overseas trip.
The paper is from the same Kaisercraft pad, the house die is from Sizzix, the hearts from MFT (as above) and the sentiment from Winnie & Walter.

I'm entering the following challenges:-

  6. That pretty paper works great as both hearts and butterflies, Jenny! The butterflies make a fantastic accompaniment to your beautiful iris design with the matching bow-tied border and the hearts are so adorable on your card to welcome home your daughter from her big trip alone! What a sweet Mom you are! Thank you so much for playing along in Twofer Card Challenge #2!! Hugs, Darnell

  8. Two beautiful ways to use those sweet pp die cut hearts! Such a lovely iris, and your pp mixed with the gold is so elegant. Your welcome home card is so artistic. It looks like a Westernized Japanese piece of art (does that even make sense?). Anyway, I love it! Thanks for joining in on the fun with us at the Twofer Card Challenge!

  9. These are both so pretty with those gorgeous pp accents, Jenny ... fabulous idea to turn the hearts into butterflies around that elegant iris ... and so sweet to have them as smoke coming from the chimney on that lovely cherry blossom shaded home! Thanks so much for playing along with us at Twofer! Anita :)
