Stamping and Colouring Therapy

Hi there Crafty Friends! I’m slowly getting back to crafting, just a little each day. Here are a few cards I made for various challenge.

The first 2 cards are made with stamps from Simon Says Stamp Wild & Free - such a beautiful set.

I was attempting no-line colouring here - it's by no means perfect, but I'll keep on practising.
I used Altenew Watercolour Paints and Zig Markers.

I stamped the image in black this time and coloured with Daniel Smith Watercolours. The patterned paper is from the SSS July Card Kit.

I used Distress Ink Ground Espresso to stamp the outline and coloured with Karin Markers. This made it very rustic as the Distress Ink reacted with the markers.
Penny Black Stamp Golden

This card was inspired my my current state of health:) I love this cute stamp from Stamping Bella (Stuffy Stuffie) and could definitely sympathise with the bear!
Coloured with Altenew Watercolour paints

One last card made with a page from Altenew Watercolour Book...
Coloured with Altenew Watercolour Paints and Prismacolor Pencils.

Focus on Background

Hi there Crafty Friends! Here's a card focusing in background stamping and texture.

Using various green inks and Altenew Leaf Clusters I stamped the leaves randomly over the white panel. Next the panel was dry embossed with Altenew Organic Linen Embossing Folder
I then die cut a square panel and matted it with a green border.
To finish I added the Altenew Fancy Enjoy Die

Time Out Challenge #272 SNARKY

Welcome back Crafty Friends. It's time for a new Time Out Challenge and this week we want you to be 'SNARKY'. Check out our challenge graphic for the definition of 'snarky'.

I decided to use the cute little penguin stamps to create a scene to go with the 'snarky' sentiment.
With a bit of masking, sponging and watercolour I created the snowy hill for the Penguins to skate down.
Stamps: Honeybee Stamp Inside: Snarky Birthday Sentiments
Mama Elephant: Arctic Penguins

This winner of our challenge will win a £25 credit from our generous sponsor - Funky Fossil and will also have the chance to be Guest Designer in a future challenge.

FALL FUN

Hi there Crafty Friends! As all the trees in our streets are bursting with beautiful blossoms, whilst in the Northern Hemisphere the leaves are turning beautiful hues of Fall. So naturally there are lots of Autumn themed challenges and this makes me happy!

I had so much fun getting inky with this card. I began with white card-stock which was die cut with Memory Box Pinpoint Leaf Cover Plate. Then saturated it with Distress Inks and Brushos.
The Simon Says Stamp leaf die was cut twice, to give a white highlight.
To finish I added the sentiment, twine bow and  gem, then mounted it on a white card base.
The sentiment is from Uniko.

I used a stencil and Distress Inks from Paper Rose Studio to create this monoprint style card.
The sentiment is from Clearly Besotted.

I created a cute scene with  tree dies from MFT, a cute stamp from Stamplorations, designed by my friend Shirley Bampton.
I used Brushos again on the trees.
I then framed the scene with MFT Peekaboo Window Die.

Hello there Crafty Friends! It's time for another challenge at The Card concept The theme this month is

                                                                'FALL FLORALS'

I coloured the die-cut flowers with Copic Markers.
The background is dry embossed and I added a border with the b&w Washi Tape.
Dies: Spellbinders - Simon Hurley

Stained Glass Flowers

Hi there Crafty Friends! Just popping in to share a card I made awhile ago, but didn't yet post.  Unfortunately I've been sick with a respiratory virus again, so I haven't had the energy to do much crafting.

This is the second card I've made with this stamp and I love how it almost looks like stained glass when the colours blend a little.

This time I used softer colours and achieved a more transparent look, using Karin Markers.
The background was embossed with a Simon Says Die.
Stamp: Simon Says Stamp Pretty Petals

Double stamped Vellum

Hi there Crafty Friends! Today I'm sharing an old make, which I never posted about. I'm playing along with my friends from Group of Seven Card-makers. They are focusing on Vellum and Embossing.

I began by stamping and heat embossing the butterflies on the front of the Vellum. Then I stamped the back with the purple pattern. I backed this with white card-stock, to whichI added some colourful splatters! These panels were framed with the black and white layers to make it pop and easy to adhere the Vellum.
Stamps: Inspired by Stamping Butterflies
Hero Arts - very old wood-mount background stamp.
The sentiment is from Altenew
