52 Christmas Card Throwdown - Guest Design

Hi there Crafty Friends! I was lucky to have my card chosen as winner at 52CCT Embossing challenge, so they've asked me to join them for the current Technique Challenge. I spent 2 years on the Design Team and I'm so happy to be back as Guest Designer.

To begin, I used acetate and Karin Markers to create the watercolour wash. When dry, I stamped the Penny Black Snowflake and the tiny snowflakes near the sentiment. Then I stamped and heat embossed the Papertrey Ink sentiment. I added a  die-cut snowflake from Avery Elle, adding a gold rhinestone for bling.

I hope you'll visit the 52 Christmas Card Throwdown blog to see what the rest of the team created with these colours and then be inspired to join in the challenge!

Mixing it Up

Hi there Crafty Friends! I've been doing lots of stamping recently, because it is Stamptember after all, but today I'm mixing it up and sharing some cards showcasing some great dies and also some stamping.

I used a few different die sets and background stamp from Memory Box.
The background was stamped with white ink and heat embossed with Vintage Pearl embossing powder.

Dies: Memory Box Country Church Frame, Snowglobe Frame
Stamp: Memory Box Typewriter Holiday Elements

They're asking us to make CAS cards at Poppystamps Challenge, so used this frame and patterned paper to create this card.
The flower was coloured with Copic Markers.
Die: Floral Stem Collage
Stamp: Gina K
PP: Kaisercraft

I made some smooshed backgrounds with Distress Inks and Nuvo Shimmer Powder and then die cut the leaves, arranging them on the textured kraft card.
Dies: Leaves from Impression Obsession; Tim Holtz Alterations Mixed Media
Hotfoil Plate: Spellbinders

Time Out Challenge #273 Inspired by Words (Quote)

Welcome back Crafty Friends. It's time for a new Time Out Challenge and this time we want you to be inspired by a quote...

“As long as autumn lasts, I shall not have hands, canvas and colours enough to paint the beautiful things I see.” – Vincent Van Gogh

I took the opportunity to use a NBUS stamp from Simon Says Stamp. I stamped the image with Distress Oxide Ink and embossed with Distress Embossing Glaze (Fossilized Amber). The leaves were coloured with Karin Markers and of course I added some splatter.
Stamp: SSS Cling Peel Apart Leaves
Die: Spellbinders Square Postage Edge
Sentiment from Stamplorations

Our wonderful sponsor is Poppy StampsThey're generously offering a $20 store credit!!

Color Throwdown Guest Design Gig

Hi there Crafty Friends! I'm so happy to be Guest Designer in the current Color Throwdown Challenge. The colours are so gorgeous and reminded me of Christmas.

I had so much fun making this card. I used the new to me dies from Poppystamps. I usually colour die-cuts with markers, but this time I used coloured cardstock and patterned paper .
For the background I used a Daisy Embossing Folder, which I think look like snowflakes. I love the random pattern.

Dies: Poppystamps Nordic Dancing Gnome, Nordic Dimple Trees
Embossing Folder: Couture Creations Random Daisies
Hotfoil plate: Pinkfresh Studio

So now it's your turn. Head on over to the Color Throwdown Challenge to see inspriration from the DT and then join in the fun.

Spring Bouquet

Hi there Crafty Friends! I thought it was time I made a Spring themed card. It's actually been quite cool over the last week, but hopefully we'll get some lovely sunny days soon.

My card was inspired by the photo inspiration at Just Us Girls Challenge.

I coloured the gorgeous die-cuts with Karin Markers.
Dies: Spellbinders Be Bold Blooms
Embossing folder: Altenew Rows of Squares 3D
Sentiment stamp & die from The Greetery

I made this next card awhile ago, so I am not 100% sure about the names of all the stamps. I keep a lot of my stamps at our Beach House. I keep meaning to write the details down when I make the card.

So the stamp on the left and sentiment I think are from Stampin Up and the other silhouettes are from Gina K Autumn Silhouettes. The rectangle die is from Penny Black. The inks are from Altenew.

Sunday Crafting

Hi there Crafty Friends! Here are a couple of cards I made today.

This die set is so much fun to create with. I think the black, white and pink make a classy colour combo.
The patterned paper is from Kaisercraft - it is embossed, so it's glossy.

Dies: Papertrey Ink Beach Bag Die Set
Spellbinders Frame

I used a stencil and Distress Inks to create this colourful card.

Beautiful Stamps

Hi there Crafty Friends! A couple of days ago I remembered I'd bought some Stampers Anonymous products when I purchased a SSS Card kit. I put everything away and because I've been sick for a few weeks, I completely forgot! So today I got them out for a play!

I challenged myself to step outside my usual style and to use fall colours...

This stamp set is so stunning. Such great quality, making it easy to stamp repeatedly and watercolour.
I used Karin Markers and Distress Inks for the flower and also the leaves which I embossed with Pearl Embossing Powder for some subtle shine.

This time I sponged a background with Fall colours and then randomly stamped the images with Distress Inks. I added some highlights with the same ink.

I made a light wash background and then stamped the flower with Distress Ink and coloured with Karin Markers.

Stamps: Stampers Anonymous French Garden
Die: Spellbinders Rectangle Postage Edge
